Lindsay Lohan's Ankle Monitoring Bracelet Sounds Alarm

Although it wouldn't surprise us if Lindsay Lohan was testing her house arrest boundaries, the locked down actress' ankle monitoring bracelet went off due to a fluke with the equipment. Lohan's ankle bracelet sounded an alarm on Monday, prompting authorities, who believed Lohan had left her specified premises, to arrive at her Venice, California home, according to TMZ.

But upon their arrival, probation officers found a casual Lohan tanning and reading scripts on her roof. A source told TMZ that the device may have "missed a signal" prompting the monitoring bracelet to give off a false alarm. Lohan was then fitted with a new device.

With more than a few people just waiting for Lohan to misstep (literally), the star of the forthcoming 'Gotti: Three Generations' biopic would be wise to stay well within her boundaries.

She probably put her foot out the door far enough til it went off just to test it. Or maybe she did walk outside and ran back into the house. She should be in jail not house vacation. Loser

Those house arrest bracelets aren't as specific as you might think. It's like a TV remote control siginal. She can actually go several acres from her home without it going off, like a good wireless ground line phone signal. So it's ignorant... No, out right stupid to think she 'stuck a toe out' and then went back inside. She'd have go go a lot further away and get back a lot faster to actually violate her bracelet. Also those things have GPS built in to them. It would have told cops if she had really left the grounds with it. So thanks for the stupidity.

blochuckles - first on your name, I won't touch it. Second, there have been several cable specials on new prison technology. Ankle bracelets have been covered several times. You don't have to be a recipient of one to know how they work. Plus they are used for other reasons than house arrest. You are rude. The poster who gave the info was giving info and having a shot at the misinformed who were posting. Crawl back under your rock and yes I am being purposely rude to you.
