Cameron Diaz and Alex Rodriguez Split

Alex Rodriguez has one less player on his team, now ex-girlfriend, Cameron Diaz. According to Perez Hilton's FitPerez, the Yankees golden boy and Hollywood's golden girl have split after almost a year of dating.

"They've broken up," an insider told FitPerez. "[Cameron is] hurt and betrayed, because she tried so hard to please him ... She went overboard."

But from feeding him popcorn at the Super Bowl to romantic vacations in Mexico, it didn't look like Rodriguez minded Diaz's affectionate attention.

Although, according to the New York Post, Rodriguez isn't wallowing in any post-breakup blues. He's reportedly magnifying his star player status. At the Marriott Marquis Miami opening Thursday night, more than a few ladies slipped the baseball prodigy their digits.

But we're not worried about either superstar's future in the dating pool -- they each boast an impressive resume of past conquests. Rodriguez has been formerly linked to Madonna and Kate Hudson and Diaz was the longtime love of Justin Timberlake.

Don't think Cameron wanted to "settle down and have kids". She is not the type, she has said many times she doesn't want to get married, etc. Maybe she was too nice to him or trying too hard to please him, and he is such a womanizer and a typical Latin, spoiled, mama's boy, who is egotistical, immature, whiny and probably uses women until he is tired of them. I don't think anyonce is "good enough" for him to last with him, since he was probably raised that way,and will never be true to one woman. He's not capable of it. Cameron is gorgeous and sexy and smart, and she can do WAY better than A-Rod. So, let him date 20 somethings and hopfully they will use him for his money and fame. He deserves it!

Why am I not surprised? Again, these "stars" break up marriages, hook up with someone new for a while and then lo an dbehold, it's over and they are on to someone else. Bed hoping isn't healthy nor is it wise to continue doing it. As my Mom used to say, "if you do IT before you marry, IT will wear out and no one will want you!" I'm sure all you gals are WORN OUT and sooner or later, no one will even want to talk to you, let alone share your bed.
