Cameron Diaz and Alex Rodriguez Split

Alex Rodriguez has one less player on his team, now ex-girlfriend, Cameron Diaz. According to Perez Hilton's FitPerez, the Yankees golden boy and Hollywood's golden girl have split after almost a year of dating.

"They've broken up," an insider told FitPerez. "[Cameron is] hurt and betrayed, because she tried so hard to please him ... She went overboard."

But from feeding him popcorn at the Super Bowl to romantic vacations in Mexico, it didn't look like Rodriguez minded Diaz's affectionate attention.

Although, according to the New York Post, Rodriguez isn't wallowing in any post-breakup blues. He's reportedly magnifying his star player status. At the Marriott Marquis Miami opening Thursday night, more than a few ladies slipped the baseball prodigy their digits.

But we're not worried about either superstar's future in the dating pool -- they each boast an impressive resume of past conquests. Rodriguez has been formerly linked to Madonna and Kate Hudson and Diaz was the longtime love of Justin Timberlake.

Cameron is much too old for him, she looks 45 years old now. He needs a younger girl who hasn't been around the block twice like Diaz has.

Oh boo hoo for Cameron, I feel so bad for her. Oh, she "tried so hard to please him, she went overboard", LOL, give me a break. She seems like a conceited diva, but she's getting up there in age, so she better stop acting like one, or she'll end up alone. She needs to date someone older than her for a change and stop picking famous guys, as for Alex, he'll do fine without that extra baggage.

If A Rod didn't play baseball I don't think he could get a date. He has a very dumb look in his eyes and when you listen to him talk it's pretty clear he has no education. I have always thought he might have been mildly retarted or have some kind of learning problem
