Cameron Diaz and Alex Rodriguez Split

Alex Rodriguez has one less player on his team, now ex-girlfriend, Cameron Diaz. According to Perez Hilton's FitPerez, the Yankees golden boy and Hollywood's golden girl have split after almost a year of dating.

"They've broken up," an insider told FitPerez. "[Cameron is] hurt and betrayed, because she tried so hard to please him ... She went overboard."

But from feeding him popcorn at the Super Bowl to romantic vacations in Mexico, it didn't look like Rodriguez minded Diaz's affectionate attention.

Although, according to the New York Post, Rodriguez isn't wallowing in any post-breakup blues. He's reportedly magnifying his star player status. At the Marriott Marquis Miami opening Thursday night, more than a few ladies slipped the baseball prodigy their digits.

But we're not worried about either superstar's future in the dating pool -- they each boast an impressive resume of past conquests. Rodriguez has been formerly linked to Madonna and Kate Hudson and Diaz was the longtime love of Justin Timberlake.

Well,what's new? We all have gotten used to the games these celebrities and (ahem) politicians play. Hey that is Hollywood, they have different roles to play on big screen and what makes it different from their roles in real life. Some play it real good and some don't; ended up so heartbroken and rejected but somehow life goes on. It is so disappointing to think how relationship can be treated like a game. Relationship is suppose to be sacred and a gauge of our true values.

Cam, you got popped a few times, and he moved on. It's the Hollywood/celebrity way of life. Long term relationships are rare.

If this is true, that's her problem in relationships. If you're always trying to be cool or the pleaser, you'll only end up miserable and the guy will get bored of you. I think feeding him popcorn was stupid on her part. No guy wants to be that babied, even if he doesn't have the nerve to tell her no at the time.
