It's Official: Nicole Scherzinger Will Replace Cheryl Cole as 'X Factor' Judge

It is finally official, 'The X Factor' has replaced British pop star Cheryl Cole with the show's co-host Nicole Scherzinger. There have been rumors and conflicting stories for weeks now, but the official word is out, and so is Cole.
Fox and 'X Factor' producers FremantleMedia and Syco TV released this statement: "Nicole Scherzinger will be replacing Cheryl Cole on the judging panel of 'The X Factor.' Nicole will join Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid and Paula Abdul on their search across America to find the next global superstar or group to win the life-changing $5 million recording deal. Nicole has previously joined Simon Cowell as a guest judge on 'The X Factor' for the UK version of the show in 2010. Steve Jones will act as sole host of 'The X Factor.'"
No reason for Cole's dismissal was given, but
speculation has run rampant. Whether she lacked chemistry with her fellow judges, was hard to understand or just couldn't get the visa, one thing is finally clear: Cole is definitely off the reality series.
Cole, known for her time on the UK 'X Factor' and pop group Girls Aloud, won't be rejoining the UK version of the series. Scherzinger, who was tapped to co-host the series, is no stranger to reality TV -- she was discovered on The WB's talent search 'Popstars' in 2001, served as a judge on NBC's 'The Sing Off' and won her season of 'Dancing With the Stars.'

Wow, now we can all get a good night's sleep knowing this has been resolved. Nothing like more reality TV and another cheap to make TV show to replace shows with actors.

It's sad how they treated Ms.Cole because first they told her she's the judge, then she's out, then she's back in, then she's out again and this time it's official. Whether it's the friction between Paula and Cheryl or whether she has too strong of an accent for American viewers or whether she is not known enough in the USA or whether they couldn't settle with money, we don't know the real deal. But, I am happy to know that the person replacing her is Nicole Scherzinger. She is one talented artist who can sing, dance, act, model, write music, play instruments, judge, host, record producer etc. She is a multi-platinum artist who can sing different genres of music like pop, dance, r&b, techno, rock, ballad etc. She majored in acting and musical theatre in college and she has won numerous awards in her carreer. She won out of thousands in the WB show "Popstars". She also won in "Dancing With The Stars" and showed her dancing prowess to America. She is well qualified to be a judge.

Very sad about Cheryl because I watched her on Britain's "X Factor" and she's an absolute delight. Yes, there were some words that I had to figure out what it was but it was few and far between. She got along great with the rest of the judges (even Simon!) and was such a good judge. From another report here it was said that they wanted her to drop her boyfriend, Derrick Hough, and if I was her, I would have told them to kiss my you-know-what. He was by her side last year when she got malaria and some other problems. For me, it's the "X Factor's" loss and I can't blame her for not going back to the show in the UK.

Nicole Scherzinger is a nitwit, what advice could she possibly have to impart on contestants? She has zero personality. At least Cheryl Cole has some charm and good experience doing the British X Factor.

obviously, you have never seen the sing off then..a show she is a judge in and to be honest she is a fairly good judge...well your loss!! I know Cheryl cole is pretty good also but don't count Nicole out yet.
Nicole Scherzinger is the worst choice ever! Not too excited anymore. Bad move, Simon.
