Did Reese Witherspoon Slam Blake Lively in MTV Award Speech?

Reese Witherspoon used her MTV Generation Award soapbox to tout the idea of a new kind of Hollywood 'it' girl in a slap on the wrist speech directed at some of Tinseltown's leading young ladies.

"I know it's cool to be bad, I get it ... but it's also possible to make it in Hollywood without a reality show," Witherspoon preached. "When I came up in this business you made a sex tape and you were embarrassed and hid it under your bed and like if you took naked pictures of yourself on your cell phone, you hid your face."

Seemingly speaking to the likes of Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton and Vanessa Hudgens, we couldn't help but associate Witherspoon's reference to naked cell phone pics with the most recent offender, Blake Lively.

Although Lively is maintaining that a leaked set of nude pics are not her (the 'Gossip Girl' star must have a long lost twin), Witherspoon wants girls to know that you don't have to take it all off in order to make it on the Upper East Side or in big bad Hollywood.

"It is possible to be a good girl," Witherspoon continued. "I'm going to try to make it cool."

Try to make it cool? We're pretty sure Witherspoon has that goal in the bag.

That and Pattinson's f-bomb were the only two interesting things about that snore-fest of a show last night.

From what I remember of her awesome acceptance speech, Reese did NOT mention any names. Why does the "media" like to start controversy where there is none?

Because the only present bimbos are the Kardasians, Paris, and that lively girl. These are new ones, they will change, but in the meantime, they will make millions from people that are I guess as silly as these girls.

Reese should not throw stones... she HAD to get married or did she forget she was pregnant???? I guess having children before being married is what "good girls" in Hollywood do... maybe I'm old fashioned?

I condemn sex before marriage as well but atleast she kept the child and agreed to marry. She didn't make any sex tapes, take nude cell phone pics, or anything like that. She's famous for her talent. She's right

Perhaps we can take her seriously if she would JUST SING ( as her voice is quite good), SANS the grotesque costumes.

is she would just sing she would be playing in local bars, she has an ok voice but shes not talented enough to be famous without a gimmick, obviously....the costumes is what made her rich, and what will ultimately lead to her being irrelevant in 5 years, cuz its lame

Withchin better enjoy her golden popcorn, i guarantee it will be her last, Water for Elephants was a bomb because of HER. Pattinson should of asked for Lively to be his co star, and it would of been a HIT. Witherchin is nothing more than a tv movie co star quality actress, and Ryan saw through her Phoniness that the American public have finally seen.

I do not believe that Reese was trying to slam Blake Lively in the speech she made. Overall, Reese was trying to make a point about todays young leading ladies that you don't have to make a sex tape or take nude photos to make it in holllywood. Whatever happened to being talented? Many of these young women can't act at all so they turn to these ideas that they have to flaunt it all in order to be a success!! You can say what you want about Reese but at the end of the day at least she is a true talented actress!!

PEOPLE...stop being such hypocrites, if you aren't that perfect of a person yourself you have no one to talk about specially if you act WORSE then most celebrities. Take a good look at yourself first. Reese criticizing celeb's morals/decisions is one thing becuase she PRACTICES WHAT SHE PREACHES. MOST OF YOU on the other hand probably can't because most are just as bad ...or worse! Take a GOOD look at your own self first before any of you call someone skank,In my opinion it seems that most people who fit the definition of skank are actually some of men in hollywood also. Funny but sad thing is how Reese wasn't naming any names then the media will...smh.

Whether or not Reese was pregnant before marriage at least she did the right thing in marrying Ryan and trying to make it work. Also I want to make a point that being nude on the screen is very different than being seen nude through a picture or sex tape. Many talented actress' have been nude on film but it is part of the art of the film and the script, they weren't solely doing it to get attention like the many young actress' today!!
