Looks like it is on to the next step for Dakota Fanning! The 17-year-old actress put on her royal blue cap and gown as she attended her high school graduation yesterday. She sat amongst her classmates at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles for the ceremony honoring Campbell Hall's Class of 2011. The flexible North Hollywood private school allowed Fanning to continue with her high school education while still pursuing her successful film career.
Despite being one of the hardest working teen actresses out there, Fanning managed to fit in a true high school experience. She was crowned Homecoming Queen two years in a row and was a member of the varsity cheerleading squad.
The 'Twilight' star seems to be having her cake, and eating it too! It's been reported that Fanning will continue her education at New York University this fall.

Congrats, Dakota. Good to see a kid star take the high road and not the "loh" road.

Really? You fear that a 17 year old high school graduate who did not even start college is going to steal your job? Your job must include the phrase "do you want fries with that?"
geez, you must be a sorry poor excuse of a person to be scared of a 17 year old girl.go jump off a bridge and end it.
@ Michael....you're a simpleton....she probably SHOULD take your job. Whatever it is you do, I am certain you suck at it.
Wow, nice wording. Bet you didn't make it to graduation.
Good for her, her parents kept her grounded and she didn't let success go to her head, like many other stars who think else wise.

Good to see child actors not falling in the black pit known as the young Hollywood nightlife. Good for her.

FINALLY a young actor who can actually be looked up to. One only hopes that she continues be a correct role model. But of course she is an ACTOR.

Dakota Fanning has always displayed exemplary behavior in the face of the Hollywood Elite. She has not let success go to her head and I am proud of her for that. I wish her the best in anything she may choose.
