Kate Hudson Celebrates at Baby Shower

Actress Kate Hudson celebrated the upcoming birth of her baby with at an intimate baby shower.

PEOPLE is reporting that Hudson had a baby shower in Malibu on Sunday.

The event took place at a private home and among the 80 invited guests were her stylist Rachel Zoe and her friends Courteney Cox and Jessica Capshaw.

A guest reportedly said that since Hudson did not know the sex of the child, she was gifted with "gender neutral baby items."

The guest is also quoted saying, "[Kate] looked amazing and kept giggling while mingling with friends, nibbling on food and playing games. She seemed to have the best time."

This will be Hudson's second child. She has a son named Ryder, 7, whose dad is her ex-husband, Black Crowes rocker Chris Robinson.

Hudson and her new baby-daddy Matt Bellamy got engaged in April. The engagement became public after 'Today Show' host Matt Lauer pointed out at a large engagement on her ring finger.

I think she looks so much like her mother Goldie Hawn and goldie is adorable. Skank? those are harsh words and really dont know where you see that in her anyway......are you a blind person jw?

Baby showers are only given for first-time mothers-to-be. I'm quite sure that she can afford whatever is needed for this soon-to-be baby. Why is it that women in this country feel it's "okay" to bring a child into this world without a father? In my opinion, I feel that most of the problems this country faces is due to the demise of the family as we used to know it. Women drop these babies out without any thought to who is actually going to raise the poor thing. Oh, yea, it's Hollywood, therefore a nanny will be this baby's new mother so Kate can get back to swinging ASAP. I do not like Angelina Jolie but got to give her one thing, she appears to really be a mother to her children. I rarely see Kate with her son, poor little thing. Go, Hollywood, your a great mentor to all mothers!! NOT!

Kate Hudson? Baby shower? I wonder if crazy hijinks ensued. Maybe a missing invitation, resulting in a no-show by the fiancee, angering the mom-to-be who left the baby shower to catch a flight to Paris. Maybe it ended in a wacky scenario in which he must jump on a horse (too much traffic to grab a cab) and get to the airport to make things right before the plane departs...
