Lindsay Lohan Stars in Short Film About...Lindsay Lohan (Video)

Before Lindsay Lohan got her latest accessory -- her house arrest ankle bracelet -- the troubled actress took the time to film a passion project of sorts: a 90-second film by artist Richard Phillips titled, 'Lindsay Lohan.'

In the clip, a serious-faced Lohan swims in an infinity pool, dons a black turtleneck, and stares at the ocean. There's no talking, no plot -- just slow scenes of a melancholy Lohan set to music.

If you're looking for an intellectually deep film, this really isn't it, but Phillips sees something special in the actress.

"Lindsay has an incredible emotional and physical presence on screen," artist Richard Phillips told V Magazine. "[She] holds an existential vulnerability, while harnessing the power of the transcendental -- the moment in transition. She is able to connect with us past all of our memory and projection, expressing our own inner eminence."

The short film was screened at the Gagosian Gallery as part of "Commercial Break," presented by the Garage Center for Contemporary Culture June 1-5 in Venice, Italy.

I guess the guy shooting this was bored and needed something to do. I've seen the whole thing and had trouble staying awake. She always looks like a deer in the headlights. She is washed up, and would do anything for attention.

That photograph is a ripoff of Bergman's "Persona". It's not a close match, it's an exact match...not original at all. Figures Linzey would be involved in a fraudulent rehash. Do some more lines Linzey.

If you don't believe me, go to google images and google Bergman's Persona. You'll see the exact same image of the hand touching the giant projected picture of a face.

Nonsense, she's just aping Liv Ullman, and not very convincingly.

What has happened to this girl along the way makes me sad. She was oozing with talent and possibility from the minute she stepped onto the screen at such a young age. She had the talent, the charisma, all of it. I hate to watch the downward spiral that has taken place since. It's a shame, but she's so messed up and I don't think she'll ever recover.

She was oozing with talent 10 years ago. Now she oozes other more disgusting things.

She is a mess. But still, it IS a shame to see a young person throw their life away on drugs and booze. It happens in alot of familys these days.Once it starts, it seems very difficult to stop. Very sad.

Hey for most of you people out there how about a little cheese to go with all that whine. We Lindsay supporters do get tired of hearing all the negativity from all you bashers. If you don't like her, then stop watching her. You go Linds, you rock.

It's pretty hard to avoid her when all of her lame-brained antics are shoved down our throats continually.
