David Arquette Kicked Out of Prince Show For Taking Pictures

The artist still known as Prince really doesn't like it when people take his picture.

He's a notorious control freak when it comes to his image and his team has instructed ushers at all of his 'Welcome 2 America' tour stops to vigilantly enforce the no-photo rule, even if people try to snap them on their cell phones.

And yet, aware of the irony, midway through his shows, Prince often encourages people to take out their cell phones anyway, wave them in the air in place of old school lighters, and even, yes, take some shots -- perhaps it's his way of admitting that resistance is futile.

And yet, resistance on the other end of it also proved futile for actor David Arquette recently at one of Prince's fabled 21 shows at the Forum in Los Angeles.

According to WENN reports, after arguing with security over shots he took of the Purple One, security kicked out the kid sitting next to him for taking pictures -- right after Prince told everyone to take out their handheld devices. Perhaps trying to be the hero, Arquette was, instead, given the boot.

"Security came to take this kid away and they said, 'You gotta get rid of all those pictures on your phone,'" Arquette relays. "I said, 'Prince just said we could take the pictures.' And so I got kicked out of the Prince show."

Prince's 'Welcome 2 America' tour is proving to be a danger zone for celebrities, and yet, celebrities -- like everyone else -- seem to be magnetically attracted to the shows.

First, Prince kicked socialite Kim Kardashian off stage, back in February, shortly after he invited her up to dance. Then Whitney Houston was banned from going to any more of the L.A. shows after Prince's team became fed up with her ticket requests and alleged party habits (Prince later vouched for her and said she's welcome anytime). With more shows planned, stay tuned for more juicy tidbits to come.

As for Arquette, if it's any consolation, Prince only performed five encores of all his greatest hits.

i believe that's "The Artist Formerly Known As The Artist Formerly Known As Prince" yes, it's insipid and meant solely to attract attention, but then so is prince.

You need to start paying more attention to the news, pugz. He's been back to using the single name "Prince" for quite awhile. And it's understandable they would kick David out of the concert. They probably thought it was Earl Hickey up to no good.

Prince seems to be a little stuck on himself and really should be a better artist and appreciate his fans. David Arquette did nothing wrong but stick up for this kid.

Prince is almost geezer status. He does not want a photo of his teeth falling out. Why did Arquette put a tatoo of Prince on his bicep? He has flunkies smell his toilet just to tell him it does not stink.

Prince is awesome, alwasy has been, always will be. Saw a show on his last tour, afer years of dancing to his music to see him in person (10th row)made it was one of the 10 top concerts I've been to, and he was amazing!

Why yes his is Steve and guess what? He still doesn't look a day over 30 yrs old. As a matter of fact whenever he tours his concerts are one of the highest grosses of the year.

Why Marsha, could that be because he in a black man trying to be white so the amount of make up this very little man uses makes him appear to be 30?? Just saying...
