George Clooney's Girl, Elisabetta Canalis: 'I Will Be Married'

Although he's marketed himself as the perennial bachelor, maybe we're wrong when it comes to silver fox, George Clooney's stance on marriage? Clooney's longtime girlfriend, Elisabetta Canalis, recently told Italian magazine, Chi (via Us Weekly), that she does not plan on living the bachelorette life forever.

"I am a firm believer in marriage, in the future I will be married, but for the time being I am happy as I am," she said.

But Canalis' optimism when it comes to beau, Clooney, doesn't mean that the Italian beauty, 32, is blind to Hollywood's resident heartthrob's reputation for keeping things casual.

"Whenever I see my picture in a magazine I know what is being written," she explained. "They all say that I spend my time organizing parties and that my boyfriend does not want to marry me and be with me anymore. My boyfriend has not give an interview on his private life since 1999 -- everything that you read is just a rehash of stuff that has been written in the past."

Two years into their relationship, we don't blame Canalis for vocalizing her desire to eventually make things official. Good luck, we have a feeling that Clooney, 50, will be a tough one to crack.

Don't ya'll get this...he's GAY, it's all a front, always has been.

Remember Rock Hudson....Famous Hollywood Star.....Hunk.....can't ruin the image? He's never going to get married because all of these MANY girl friends that he never marries and never will are all cover ups....He's GAY! Just my opinion!

George should never marry he does not have to. Why give your money away to a gold digger. Keep girl friend for a while and move on. He worked hard and should not have to share any of it.

Any smart lady knows that you do not have to be married to be happy. She has an easy life with someone she enjoys being with . . . I'm sure he takes real good care of her. DON'T rock the boat Elisabetta, push too hard and I'm sure Smart Man Clooney will just move on . . . and we all know that there is another young beauty out there to fill your shoes in a heartbeat!

To each their own. Marriage is not for everyone, man or woman. They are happy to be with each other for the time being, but will probably move on at some point. The important thing is that they don't get married for the wrong reasons, which seems to happen too often.
