'Jersey Shore' Star Snooki Splits With Boyfriend

Attention gorilla juiceheads! 'Jersey Shore' star Snooki is reportedly back on the market. With her time in Italy almost up, she'll be back on the Jersey boardwalk in no time.

According to Life & Style, Snooki (real name: Nicole Polizzi) and her boyfriend of eight months, Jionni LaValle have parted ways. The split reportedly happened while LaValle was visiting the reality star in Florence, Italy, where she is filming the fourth season of the MTV show.

"Snooki and her boyfriend have split up," a source told L&S. "He went to visit her in Italy this past week. They fought a lot while he was there and have called it quits."

Snooki met LaValle in New Jersey while filming the third season of 'Jersey Shore' last summer, and the pair began dating in the fall. However, it seems distance and stress put on the relationship was just too much for them to handle.

"He said it was hard for them to be apart, and that with the whole world knowing her past, he finds it very hard to trust her," a source close to LaValle also revealed. "He said that as far as he was concerned, if she did anything wrong in Italy, it was over."

The pair was spotted arguing in Italy last week -- supposedly over a night club incident -- but were photographed kissing the next day. However, the relationship was hanging on by a thread, according to the source.

"When he got back from Italy, he called a mutual friend [of ours] and said that they had broken up," the source added. "I think he was just really sad about being away from her so much. I'm not sure who broke up with whom -- it seems to be mutual because of the distance and the time apart."

Snooki's time in Italy has come with its fair share of drama. Earlier this month, she hit a cop car in front of paparazzi while driving in Florence, sending two police officers to ER for minor injuries. She was taken into custody, but just to fill out paperwork.

The Italian season of 'Jersey Shore' premieres August 4 on MTV.
