Larry Birkhead: Anna Nicole Smith's Daughter Just Like Her Mommy

Other than her Southern belle good looks, there's at least one more thing the late Anna Nicole Smith passed onto daughter, Dannielynn. Smith's ex-boyfriend and Dannielynn's father says that his 5-year-old daughter's love of the camera undeniably comes from her mother.

"I see her mom in everything she does," Birkhead told Us Weekly. "We were at the Kentucky Derby and she started smiling and posing like her mom would. People ask me to put her in modeling, but I don't want to push."

But not everything about the Derby day was flash photogs and fun. Birkhead later tweeted that he was battling a publication over a libelous story that was to run about the father-daughter duo: "Spent the entire day yelling at an editor & legal dept. of a newspaper over a false story about me and my daughter at the kentucky derby," he tweeted.

Another thing Dannielynn gets from her mama? Her blunt curiosity.

Speaking about how he explained Smith's death to his young daughter, Birkhead shared, "At first I said, 'Your mommy's up in the clouds.' Then we were on a plane from Kentucky and she asked, 'Which cloud is my mom on, maybe she can come play?'"

Smith, 39, tragically died in 2007 after an accidental drug overdose -- a bitter paternity battle between Birkhead and Smith's then boyfriend, Howard K. Stern, followed. But Birkhead won the daddy debacle and with it also inherited the overwhelmingly difficult job of protecting Dannielynn from the media's characterization of her mother.

A British opera house recently staged a satirical production, the 'Anna Nicole' opera, which enraged the doting father.

"One day my daughter is going to see this trash," he said. "These aren't images you want to relate to your child."

We have a feeling that explaining an overseas opera will be the least of Birkhead's worries when Dannielynn hits the asking age.

Anna had many other issues in her life that led to a lot of her problems...but none of you heartless PUKES knopw nothing about..you would rather judge!!!!I love this , So does My boyfriend .he is almost 11year older than me .i met him via agegapsin gles.c'om a nice place for seeking age le ss love.which gives you a chance to make your life better and open opportunities for you to meet the attractive young girls and treat you like a king. She was also very rich, and very famous.

What have you done so wonderful? Speaking down on others is no better than what they've done to get you talking in the first place. Think about that. I'd rather meet a stripper with something nice to say then a successful somebody that trash talks people.

I think he means that she is totally gorgeous, like her mother, and loves attention - not that she is taking drugs or has a stripper persona. Geez - the mother is dead and never made a secret of acting out to get money, but Dannielyn has done nothing wrong. At least give the innocent child a break from the constant ridicule that was heaped on her mother. Jayne Mansfield acted out over the top sexuality, but no one would consider heaping scorn on Mariska Hargitay, or blaming her for her mothers actions.

Only difference is when Jane Mansfield died it was a truly tragic accident unlike when Anna Nicole died was a nasty trainwreck that I predicted would happen! Dannilyn needs to have someone on her side, you know Larry didn't mind the life when he was dating her, and Howard Stern is a sleezball, hanger on wanna be! Dannilyn needs to be appointed someone who has no invested interest in any of the would be inheritace from the Marshall estate or inhertiance from her mother! Larry please keep Dannilyn away from the media! She deserves to grow up being a Kentucky little girl not your next meal ticket!

I would do my best to steer her in another direction other than cameras, modeling, acting, etc. A lot of those people are miserable deep down inside for whatever reason. I'd make sure she went to college, too. Just live a normal life, but she's going to do what she wants when she's an adult.
