Larry Birkhead: Anna Nicole Smith's Daughter Just Like Her Mommy

Other than her Southern belle good looks, there's at least one more thing the late Anna Nicole Smith passed onto daughter, Dannielynn. Smith's ex-boyfriend and Dannielynn's father says that his 5-year-old daughter's love of the camera undeniably comes from her mother.
"I see her mom in everything she does," Birkhead told
Us Weekly. "We were at the Kentucky Derby and she started smiling and posing like her mom would. People ask me to put her in modeling, but I don't want to push."
But not everything about the Derby day was flash photogs and fun. Birkhead later tweeted that he was battling a publication over a libelous story that was to run about the father-daughter duo: "Spent the entire day yelling at an editor & legal dept. of a newspaper over a false story about me and my daughter at the kentucky derby," he
tweeted.
Another thing Dannielynn gets from her mama? Her blunt curiosity.
Speaking about how he explained Smith's death to his young daughter, Birkhead shared, "At first I said, 'Your mommy's up in the clouds.' Then we were on a plane from Kentucky and she asked, 'Which cloud is my mom on, maybe she can come play?'"
Smith, 39, tragically died in 2007 after an accidental drug overdose -- a bitter paternity battle between Birkhead and Smith's then boyfriend, Howard K. Stern, followed. But Birkhead won the daddy debacle and with it also inherited the overwhelmingly difficult job of protecting Dannielynn from the media's characterization of her mother.
A British opera house recently staged a satirical production, the 'Anna Nicole' opera, which enraged the doting father.
"One day my daughter is going to see this trash," he said. "These aren't images you want to relate to your child."
We have a feeling that explaining an overseas opera will be the least of Birkhead's worries when Dannielynn hits the asking age.

weiner ramsey boy thats out there . a lousy politician an a screwed up family whoes father/son killed her. an mom took it to her grave
If her mother was so great, she wouldn't be over-inflated and dead by 39. We can only hope this child never feel the need to buy breast implants so huge she can use them as floatation devices, or cavort on live TV about her drugging and boozing ways, or sleep around and sell herself to the highest bidder no matter their age or appearance. I hope this child grows up to be a happy and secure person with confidence in her own identity!!

Not if she gets anywhere you or reads your vile spew she won't.
He told his daughter, "your mom is up in the clouds"? Yep, she sure as hell was, baby doll....it's why she died!!! I hope she has a better extended family than her own mom did, she deserves to have better.

Why do some of you people start out putting this litte girl down? She is very young, has a Father to lead and take care of her, so do not predict what she will be when she is grown. If she is beautiful, as I think her Mother was, then do not take that away from her. My goodness, she is a little child!!!

I think she shouldn't get into modelling or acting while so young, but when she is old enough I think she should be told of the poor choices her mom made. It is why she died so tragically and her daughter can learn from her mistakes.

Larry needs to steer her in a whole different direction from the path her mother took in life! Modeling? NOOOOOOOOO!!!Don't applaud the ways she's like her mother. See it as a sign of her starting out in the wrong direction and guide her in a more positive one! She'll thank you a million times over when she's grown!!!

All I can say is that it's a good thing that Larry took that baby away from Howard! He would be capitalizing on her already. I understand that Larry lets her be seen by the media every now and then and I think that's probably normal because of who she is. But Howard would have had the media living on his property and the poor little girl would be living in a fish bowl like Anna. I honestly think that Howard contributed to her death. Me may not have caused it but he really didn't get her the help she needed for her problems. And he claimed to love her....

Hope she isn't bipolar like her mom.

I can honestly say that I was so very happy to see Larry and DL. As a baby she became so much a part of our lives that I would appreciate an update on her growth from Larry every now and then. I think Larry realized that DL will be in the media whether he or she wants the attention. Perhaps he is simply preparing her for the inevitable. I truly believe Larry loves this little girl with all his heart. As for Anna Nicole, there was the show business side of her that we, the public, are only familiar with. We will never know the real woman. Why not give her the benefit of the doubt? I do believe that her son meant the world to her and that his death broke her heart and she could not find the strength to carry on. I truly hope they are together.

Yikes, what planet are you from? She was a revolting, disgusting pig of a human being. She wasn't sexy. Funny? If a reality show about her stoned drunken rantings and watching her vomit in the back of a limo every episode was what you take for funny then then I don't get it. Every aspect of her visible body was fake and contrived from her hair to her nose, to her breasts to her teeth. Most all of us feel relieved she is gone except you.
Cute kid.

What a beautiful little girl. Loving the spotlight is one thing, hopefully she doesn't follow the footsteps of her mom with the drugs. Then again and I have not read anyone ever post it. She did have a problem before her son's death, but Danielle's death was the nail in her coffin. She adored her son and that was obvious.

Larry Birkhead is the best thing to ever happen to little Dannilynn. He has done a fantastic job of giving her as normal a life as possible. You rarely see them in the news anymore, which is a huge credit to him as a Father. I suspect Howard K Stern would have been much more anxious to pimp her around and get as much publicity as possible. Well done, Larry!
