Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band's legendary saxophonist Clarence Clemons has had a stroke on Sunday - June 12th.Rolling Stone is confirming reports which have said that Clemons is "seriously ill after a stroke at his home in Florida."
The severity of the stroke cannot be confirmed, as of now.
Clemons, 69, known by fans as 'The Big Man', has been playing the saxophone and performing with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band for more than three decades.
Clemons has had a string of medical ailments in recent years, mostly involving his back and knees. In the past year, Clemons has had both knees replaced and spinal fusion surgery.

Hey Big Guy.Sorry to hear about your stroke. I, too, had a stroke in December 2010. You can't keep us old rockers down. I am sure you will be OK. Prayers your way. A new drug Pradaxa is keeping me together.

Nothing good about having a stroke & some are far worst than death. Especially, the stroke known as locked in. Tne person who referenced crack is ignorant of the main factors contributing to strokes including high blood pressure, diabetes, & cholesterol being the main causes not crack. At his age and from my personal experiance with stroke, death can be a kind friend depending upon the damage done. You can only hope to prevent a stroke. Brain cells do not recover. I wish him & his family the best.

As a lover of great music, IMO he is like no other, one of the best sax players I have ever heard. He played many times with the Grateful Dead and so many others. We will miss you Mr. Clemens.. Get well soon!
