Demi Lovato Splits from Boyfriend, Mother Goes to Rehab

Just months after Demi Lovato finished her rehab stint, the tough times don't seem to be letting up. The New York Post is reporting that the Disney-bred starlet recently called it quits with bad boy boyfriend, Wilmer Valderrama and is also dealing with some major family issues -- her mother, Dianna Hart de la Garza, headed to rehab.

"The age difference meant they were in completely different places in their lives," a source told the NY Post of Lovato's split from the 'That 70's Show' star, Valderrama, 31.

But a bad breakup seems to be the least of Lovato's recent woes. Her mother, who stood by her side during her stint in rehab -- and even got a matching 'Stay Strong' tattoo with her daughter -- entered rehab, herself.

"It has been a tough year for Demi, and her mom has been a constant source of support. But fame has also taken its toll on her family," the source continued. "Now [that] Demi is strong again, her mom could take some time to deal with her own issues."

But just like de la Garza supported her, Lovato, 18, did the same for her mama -- who has reportedly completed her rehab program and is back at home with her family. After Lovato's rehab stay, during which she confronted her battle with anorexia, bulimia and depression, Lovato admitted that she suffers from bipolar disorder. It has not been disclosed what exact "issues" de la Garza was dealing with while in rehab.

We hope that life, for the actress' sake, is less dramatic in the coming months.

Hey Larry maybe you should research before opening your ignorant mouth and sticking both feet in it! Miss Lovato is of Mexican Irish and Italian decent. She is (as are her parents) Americans. Her mother was a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader. Crawl back under the racist rock you've been living under. As for my immediate family there is English, German, Scot Irish, Cherokee and Creek Indian. I have nephews that are Jewish and a niece that is part Cherokee and cousins that are Mexican...my dad's brother fell in love and married a Mexican woman and my Aunt Margie is amazing. Just remember "he who is without sin cast the first stone".

I hate how every news story about demi lovato is about her being in rehab for depression. They make it seem like shes the first person to have it and its all over the news just because shes a star of a dumb kid show.

Who cares. Ive been clinically depressed for 5 years, no one gives a damn. Suck it up lovato.

And what a publicity stunt. Rehab and dating Wilmer. Hes old enough to practically be her dad. Did they really think theyd develop something real? AHAH.
