Gene Simmons' Unraveling Relationship With Shannon Tweed (Video)

There were some very uncomfortable moments on 'Today' this morning, and despite all of Kathie Lee Gifford's attempts to lighten the mood, there is no denying the tension between Gene Simmons and longtime partner Shannon Tweed.

Gifford asked Simmons if he were in "deep pooky" and if by that she means deep trouble, then the answer is absolutely a yes. Tweed's responses during the interview lead us to believe that these two are on the very rockiest of roads.

The interview centered around Simmons' infidelities, starting with a photo of him with other women. "Oh, kill me now," Simmons said, fiddling with his collar. Tweed looked angry to be there. Hoda Kotb asked Simmons about his assertion that he didn't know the women except from that photo. "Please," said Tweed. "What he means is he didn't know their names."

Tweed said the relationship has pretty much unraveled, but in the interest of the upcoming season of 'Gene Simmons Family Jewels' which details the situation, she didn't want to say too much. "I don't want to give away everything," she said, "but it's not looking great."

The "fight" with Shannon is for SELLING the show and for ratings! PERIOD! You'd think it would be easy to spot his "tongue in cheek" but nope! He is smoooooth with the sale! I call BULLSCHITE!!!

It's not looking to good for you Gene. I am not a KISS fan but I watched their show alot because they seemed like such a tight family that I was kinda envious, I shoulda know something was up when he would NOT marry her.Shannon, I think you are awesome!

She must not be too bothered by his infidelities, when she stayed all these years without the benefit of marriage. Guess she didn't want to make it that easy for him to move on with younger women by her walking out the door for good. Have some dignity.

This is all such a farce. Gene stop now. I think KISS still has some relevance? See that's why you didn't get into the rock & roll hall of fame yet. Ahh KISS, Gene was always the big hunk of cheese in that band.

If....they're "so solid," then why does Shannon Tweed say their relationship has been unravelling for sometime now. Okay, TMZ took a picture of Gene w/two young women whose names he didn't know. And what does that say about him. That he hasn't grown up yet or that he's going through a long mid-life crisis?!

True. I think deep down women are bothered (I would be). People get different perspectives/smarts on life over time (20's vs. age 50). What a great couple.
I watched their show all night in a hotel, 6/13, while on buisness. Strange how I just tuned into the show, now this tension happens (with Shannon/Gene).

ahhh, of all the reality shows I've ever seen, i like family jewels the best. i would really be upset if these two split up. If Gene is anything like he is in the show, I thought this was the most RESPECTFUL FAMILY on tv. Smart parents, smart kids and just a great family. This would be one family break up that could almost make me cry.

I so agree - I will be very disappointed of they split :(:( They've done an amazing job with their kids and he seems pretty harmless when he's home. I think he persona is much more wild then his actual life. In today's day and age something would've leaked before now.

I had very little respect for Gene, but was always a huge Kiss fan, but I loved Paul Stanley. I gained new respect for Gene in watching him on TV and his love for Shannon and his children just amazed me. I remember when he did the show for the troops and went into the VA hospital and I was very impressed!

I thought these 2 were a great couple and were happy together! I am very surprised by this! Lots of women flirt with Gene but it didn't seem to bother Shannon - she seems very secure!
