It's a sad day in Hollywood. Laura Ziskin, best known for her work as a producer for the 'Spider-Man' film franchise, passed away Sunday after a long battle with breast cancer. She was 61.According to E! Online, in addition to her work on 'Spider-Man,' she also served as a producer for the 1990 hit 'Pretty Woman.' In 2002, she was also the first woman to serve as a solo producer for the Academy Awards -- a role for which she won several Emmy Awards.
Ziskin was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer in 2004 and decided to co-found the cancer-fighting organization Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C).
"It is with great sadness that we share with you the news that our colleague and dear friend Laura Ziskin, co-founder of Stand Up To Cancer, passed away peacefully today at her home in Santa Monica, California," the organization said in a statement.

Surviving stage 3 breast cancer for 7 years is a testament not only to Ms. Ziskin's fortitude, but to the advancements made in cancer research.

Its very sad that we lost a very talented lady at such a young age. If only she knew about the chemicals she was using on her body, face makeup and in her home and avoided the known questionable, controversial and known carcinogens. I see she is wearing cosmetics in the picture, if only she knew about the toxins she was ingesting, that fed her cancer. If only the public could wake up, read the facts and avoid the chemicals that cause cancer. If only the cosmetic industry would wake up and change their formulations, taking out the toxins, we would all be without cancer and be able to live a happy and long life.

Since when are movie producers famed? I never even heard of her until now. I thought producers just financed the filming. Big deal. Why would you get famous just for buying something? Confusing at best, don't care at worst.

Moron, I have a feeling your obituary will say something very similar to what you posted.
Even in death, everyone is due some respect. Show some.
I'm sure it is confusing to your tiny brain. So very sorry for you.
Les Henderson, the guy who posted the above, is the idiot who thinks that by making this stupid of a statement he is cool. Les Henderson is a registered sex offender in 5 states. That explains everything.
Although I don't know the name, I still offer my condolences to her family. R.I.P.
