'CSI' Star Gary Dourdan Arrested on Suspicion of DUI and Drug Possession

Former 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation' star Gary Dourdan has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and drug possession.

E! Online is reporting that Dourdan was arrested at 3:50 AM Monday after allegedly plowing into multiple parked cars while behind the wheel.

The 44-year-old actor was said to be walking away from the crime scene when police officers came by after a person reported the car crash.

TMZ is reporting that during the investigation, the police found "a few pills" of ecstasy and arrested Dourdan on a drug possession charge.

Dourdan was taken to a nearby station where he was booked and later released after he posted the $10,000 bail. The actor is due back in court on July 7.

This is not the first time the actor has been arrested for drug possession.

In 2008, police found Dourdan asleep behind the wheel of his car and upon investigation arrested him for possession of heroin, cocaine and ecstasy.

Dourdan avoided going to jail by pleading guilty to cocaine and ecstasy possession and entering a drug-diversion program.

On an episode of Extra, I could be wrong about the entertainment show, they showed Gary making u turns on Ventura Blvd in Encino, CA and the police letting him go, they have the tapes. This man never got a ticket and publicly stated he won't. It's high time he pays for all the times he's put people in jeopardy with his crazy driving. I've driven for over 30 years now, I use to work on Ventura Blvd, I was just making a u-turn, never had a ticket and I had to take driving school and pay a fine. Well just is now served, book him Dan-0.

I feel badly that Gary Dourdan is in crisis with addiction. I really miss him on CSI. I hope that he can pull himself out of this and get back on track before it's too late. We all need to say a prayer for him.

They are on top of the world as actors on a hit show, but they just can't be happy and content. They poison their bodies with drugs and alcohol and ultimately throw away their careers. I have been there. I wasted 17 years of my life with substance abuse. I was lucky and blessed. I am successful now only because I was one in the minority who manage to actually get clean and sober after years of substance abuse. Everytime you hear someone calling for legalization of drugs, think real hard about it. It started as a very innocent thing with me at 19 and and the next thing I knew, I was 36. If it got me, it can get anyone. Unfortunately, even if you are delivered and blessed with sobriety ... you will have wasted the best and most productive years of your life. Say no to drugs and to legalization. The Devil lives in the bags and bottles.

Why do so many black actors and sports talents do this to themselves? This has NOTHING to do with racism but an honest question. They all seem to get into trouble at some point or another with the law, gambling, dog fighting, drugs or whatever. Everyone expects this kind of mess from rappers but not talents in acting, sports and other things. This guy is a great actor. Hope he cleans it up before we are reading more depressing news about him.

Ohh. So very sad. My heart goes out to him. He had it all. Gorgeous..and the type of gorgeous that makes womens hearts flutter...and so talented...I have a son like that who chose the same route. the only thing that cures it all is falling to the bottom of the barrel or as in my sons case having a child.

This wasn't the first time he got arrested, I remember when he was still on CSI he got arrested for alcohol and drug use. I think so too that they kicked him off because of that!! Yeah I don't know why they all do that, to be an actor can't be more stress then any other job!! A lot of actors think they are something special and deserve to be treated better, or they think they are above the law.
