Jennifer Lopez 'On the Fence' About 'American Idol' Return

'Love 'em and leave 'em' seems to be
Jennifer Lopez's motto. After her stint as a judge on 'American Idol' gave her career a much needed boost, Jenny from the block is "on the fence" about returning to the show.
On whether she'll head back to the dream-making hit, Lopez told
BBC Radio, "I don't know. I haven't been forced to make a decision and I'm glad about that because honestly I'm very on the fence about it."
According to
The Hollywood Reporter, Lopez raked in $12 million for her run as the sweet, encourage voice among her fellow judges.
"You get to know them," she said. "You get to know their hopes and their dreams on camera, off camera. You're helping them off camera, you're helping them on camera and it's this crazy ride you go on together."
But Lopez wasn't the only one on the giving end of the career boosting show, 'AI' also gave her career more than a few (much-needed) primetime slots -- premiering her 'On the Floor' music video during a final episode. But apparently, for the 'Love Don't Cost a Thing' singer, her time could be far too valuable for basic cable.
"I had an amazing time doing it and I love it but I have a lot of other things happening, and it's going to come down to me making a choice of what I want to do for the next year."
It sounds like Lopez would rather build up her own career than create someone else's. But with the recent comeback success she's seen, we don't blame her.

Wow you people must be something to look at with all those stones you are throwing!
The show had great talent this yr that was all voted off because they lowered the age to 15 for contestants. Who else but 12 yr olds have time to vote all night. The best will never win again.
She should leave while she is on top

I don't have a problem with JLo or her husband, Marc Anthony...but sometimes I think she used her name and her influence on AI to boost her career and HIS. They were both mediocre performers before ( Not Mega Stars like Gaga, Beyonce, Diddy or JayZ) now all of a sudden he's a celebrity mentor on IDOL, and he has joined the cast of the new show Hawthorne, and she has her new video and album out, which was introduced on AI. If she wasn't on AI ( and making apprearances all over the place) would any of those things have happened? Would Marc Anthony's name and face be seen all over TV? Hmmmm, Don't think so! Whether she stays on IDOL or not, Who really cares ( she made her fast 12M)...AI used to be a great family show for years, now with all the changes and the "end Results" ( we all KNOW, there have been a few contestants that really shouldn't have WON, instead of others, who really deserved to). I have a feeling that a lot of people aren't going to be that interested anymore. Every year, something quirky happens, that makes you wonder. Good Luck to JLo in whatever she decides to do, as long as AI is still being aired, The people will still watch, whether she's there or not! Steven gets plenty of attention to cover her absence.

He has been singing & performing for almost 3 decades & he has been making Guest appearances on that show before she got the AI gig.
No great loss. The show is sagging in its repetitive form. Poor J-Lo was early at a loss to describe her (usually valid) reaction. Amazing wore out by week 5. The show needs to be rebooted.

And the winner is: NOBODY. American Idol fails again, can't keep judges in place, contestants flop after the show is over. HAHA!
J LO, who cares, she isn't enough of a singing talent to even be there, the show should be kicking her off, not the other way around.

Jen talked a lot but never gave much credible advise, just the same ol same ol. She proved she was cool but got irritating as the season wore on. Tyle, love the guy, seemed uninterested and said the same thing over and over. The show has turned into a TWEEN voting event, it had great talent but they were voted off. WHERE IS SIMON WHEN HE NEED HIM THE MOST!!!

Jennifer Lopez is very personable and actually gave excellent responses to all the finalists on American Idol. On American Idol, she demonstrated that she is not only a superb dancer and singer, but a superb judge as well.

I hope she goes and takes that entire crappy show with her. AL sux!!!!!!!!!

take Randy, Steven, and even Ryan with you...Idol is finished!

Jennifer needs to stay. She actually did her job as a judge. She cried and whinned, but hse did manage to actually critique the contestants. Plus she is great to look at.
I like Steven Tyler a lot, but he needs to be put on a work improvement program. His boss needs to tell him to suck-it-up and actually judge the contestants or else they are going to have to find another eccentric pop star who can.

I will cross my fingers, she was AWFUL!!! It was turning into the J-Lo show instead of American Idol, who wanted to see her? Or her husband???

Jenny's a user. No gratitude for the show that revitalized her otherwise stalled career. Users are unltimately losers.

Who is this J-Lo? I've never even heard of her....

WE ARE GETTING WAY TO MANY IGNORANT SPICS ON AMERICAN TV TRYING TO PRETEND THEY ARE LIKE THE GREAT AMERICAN PERFORMERS THEY TRY TO IMITATE. THIS IS AMERICA NOT PUERTO RICO OR MEXICO.

Leaving ? And trust me I don't even watch the show ,my wife does. Just another in the LONG line of mistakes She has and probably will continue to make. Just my opinion.

Lost respect for JLo after she got up on stage to shake that big booty of hers in front of millions of people. She needs to do that on MTV not on American Idol. She doesn't give good advice to the contestants either. Stephen Tyler needs to go too. He can take all his potty mouth with him. And....as far as Randy....
I get really tired of hearing "in it to win it" and "dawg"!
