Jennifer Lopez 'On the Fence' About 'American Idol' Return

'Love 'em and leave 'em' seems to be
Jennifer Lopez's motto. After her stint as a judge on 'American Idol' gave her career a much needed boost, Jenny from the block is "on the fence" about returning to the show.
On whether she'll head back to the dream-making hit, Lopez told
BBC Radio, "I don't know. I haven't been forced to make a decision and I'm glad about that because honestly I'm very on the fence about it."
According to
The Hollywood Reporter, Lopez raked in $12 million for her run as the sweet, encourage voice among her fellow judges.
"You get to know them," she said. "You get to know their hopes and their dreams on camera, off camera. You're helping them off camera, you're helping them on camera and it's this crazy ride you go on together."
But Lopez wasn't the only one on the giving end of the career boosting show, 'AI' also gave her career more than a few (much-needed) primetime slots -- premiering her 'On the Floor' music video during a final episode. But apparently, for the 'Love Don't Cost a Thing' singer, her time could be far too valuable for basic cable.
"I had an amazing time doing it and I love it but I have a lot of other things happening, and it's going to come down to me making a choice of what I want to do for the next year."
It sounds like Lopez would rather build up her own career than create someone else's. But with the recent comeback success she's seen, we don't blame her.

Her efforts and influence were pointless. It doesn't matter who judges now that Simon is not there to guide the audience. The 12 year old's get there way. Stay home J-Lo and be with your wonderful family. Your efforts and influence will be greatly appreciated there.

Jennifer could easily be replaced with someone more interesting and less self promoting.

She and Marc Who should be thankful for what they have going. Reminds me of Gloria whoever from Miami.Remember how quickly she vanished once she realized she was making a big mistake trying to dictate how the Elio Gonsalez show was going to be played out.Whenever I hear anything about her,I remember the poor Jetskier, her and hubby mowed down and killed in their powerboat.Lesson learned " stick to rafts "

How arrogant can she get?? I mean, who cares?? She was not that good and can be replaced at the snap of my fingers. I have no respect for her now that I have read this story - she ain't no goddess!!!! Move on, J-Lo.

Don't let the door hit you. She was terrible. Fake tears and a self promoting 5 months of hell for the viewers.
PLEASE get someone who really critiques these kids. The accolades were totally unearned.

Who cares? Can't sing or act, how the hell does she mentor or judge? This show blows, Tyler was agood judge, but then again he is a real musician. No one is ever going to confuse her with a talented performer.

I enjoyed J-Lo and would much rather have her sitting there than Kara! This was her first year and just like Ellen only being there one season, niether of them had learned to toughen up. Ellen, however put some humor in when needed. I think if J-Lo stays, she will toughen up and do even a better job. Stay with Idol J-Lo!

I think JLO did a good job as a judge. She was very encouraging. Much better than Steve who didn't have much to say. Only problem with AI this year was that too many good singers were voted off too early. So much hatred for JLO. You would think she was Sarah Palin. If you miss Simon so much you can watch the XFactor.

Hey Poppyseed ,Do you have any idea who Steven Tyler even is ? He has been around and popular for over 40 years .Do you think anybody will remember lopez or her hubby ,whom I can only remember as a bit character in a Tom Beranger B-movie with Ernie Hudsen and Diane Venora. It sure wasn't much of a stretch for marc to play a punk latin drug dealer. Ben Affleck was the only smart one,he dumped her before she could infect his career. These are facts not fiction.

By the way the movie was set in Miami of all places. What a stretch for marc to play that character !

I happened to like her on this season! She was an encouraging but fair judge - not a Paula, not a Simon. Steven was the surprisingly soft one.
