Prince William and Kate Middleton will get a taste of California life in July when they follow their Canadian trip with a stay in the Golden State. Details of what the Royal Couple will be doing on their visit have been scarce -- until now.According to PEOPLE, the couple's three-day trip will begin on Friday, July 8, with a Consular-General Reception on behalf of United Kingdom Trade and Investment.
The couple will use their West Coast trip to focus "on supporting British interest in California through the prism of their own interests," an official spokesperson from St. James's Palace said.
The next day, William will hit the polo field at the Santa Barbara Polo Club, where he'll play a match to benefit the American Friends of the Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry.
Later that night, the couple will attend a black-tie dinner to spotlight "up and coming British talent" in downtown Los Angeles. The event, which benefits the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, will be followed by a reception at the Belasco Theatre.
Finally, on Sunday, Will and Kate will stop by the Inner-City Arts School, and will attend the 'Service Nation: Mission Serve' job fair for veterans in Culver City before heading back to the UK.

Too bad they won't be seeing what the "real" United States is like and only spending time in La La Land.

Nothing wrong with CA. I live here and love it.
The USA is gone mad about the Royals since princess Diana visited. The W&K wedding was attended by groups of people from the USA. God save our gracious Queen, long live our noble Queen.

How unfortunate that they can't spend a day at the beach, just soaking up the sun and relaxing...

so when are we going to quit calling her Middleton? Isn't she married to prince william? Doesn't that make her Princess Kate? I didn't see us calling Diana by her maiden name it was always "Princess Diana".

They are going to do Disneyland (the whole park is scheduled to close for that day) too, but they didn't mention it. Great reporting! Bwahahahaha!

Don't know where you got your information. Disneyland is not closed for them because they will not be down this way.

Amazing. When I was in the service, I didn't get all this time to go ditty bopping all over the world. Guess being a kid of the Queen has it's perks.

Prince William's mother, Diana, was not a queen.
I'm going to call it morbid curiosity as to why I even bothered to find out why bald Billy and his bag of bones wife are in California snd what they're doing...

Why is everyone concerned about the British paying for the trip. We should be concerned about what WE taxpayers are shelling out for the Obama's many trips around the world. When he was in the UK he took 500 people along with he and Michelle and WE paid for it all.
