It's a Boy for Josh and Anna Duggar

We have a feeling there will be no shortage of babysitters on hand for Josh and Anna Duggar's new baby boy. The newborn, who will become little brother to the couple's first child, MacKynzie, already has 18 aunts and uncles -- the stars of TLC's '19 Kids and Counting.'

The baby boy, whose name, his parents hinted, begins with an 'M,' was born at the couple's Tontitown, Arkansas home on Wednesday, three days before he was due, according to People. But Anna still gave birth to a healthy 8 lb. 5 oz. bundle of joy, to the delight of two very happy grandparents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar.

The new baby will also have a built-in playmate in his youngest aunt, Josie, who is 17 months old.

I grew up across the street from a Catholic family with 13 children and all their names started with a 'D'. So what? I don't understand what some people are so worked up about, this is a decent couple who are raising smart, respectful and moral children. My husband and I were only able to have 1 child, she is grown and has been trying to conceive for over 5 years, and has some friends that are also having trouble conceiving. The Duggars can replace the beautiful and loving children that those of us with fertility woes cannot have.

That is absolutely ridiculous to say how many a family should or should not have. Who the hell are you people to judge. This doesn't affect you, so who the hell cares. As long as that child is raised with good values and morals and love, I say why the hell not. AND! They don't even use the system like most do.

The contraceptive mentality has destroyed families ever since it was introduced. God didn't say, "be fruitful and have one child. He said, "be fruitful and multiply." Two children is not even multiplying. It is only replacing the parents. The Catholic Church is the only Church that doesn't condone contraception. It is a hard stance and not easy in this contraceptive mentality society, but it hasn't wavered. I had my tubes tied when I was a protestant and regret it so much. My pastor said it was okay. Now that I am Catholic I realize the Church would've taught me not to sterilize myself. Obed was punished for spilling his seed. having two children is not healthy, the kids are spoiled and do not know how to share; they have too much. God's plan of large families is better.

This kind of dogmatic ignorance is why the world is going to hell in a hand basket. Some of you freaks need to educate yourselves with a little science -- look at current world population figures and PROJECTED world population figures. Look at projections for natural resource consumption (that would be water, forests, food, oil, etc.) and see if it makes sense for the world population to continue to increase, unabated. Oh, but the Lord will provide ... right? All you lunatics who blindly follow these antiquated, illogical myths called religions are wrecking the world. "When one person suffers from a delusion, it's called 'insanity.' But when many people suffer from the same delusion, it's called a religion."

Congrats on the new healthy baby. Ignore what other people are saying. Having that many kids is not for me but if it's meant to be then I am happy for you. No one else should get to decide how many kids you have except God.

What about over-population? Does anyone remember the movie Soilent Green? This is only a movie, but it can happen if people like the Duggars keep having kids like they are. Sure they can have as many kids as they want and sure they support them all on their own but what about what life will be like for their great grandchildren? If all of those 19 kids of the Duggars have 19 kids each and so on and so on, that adds up to a lot of people. This isn't 1800's where people need kids to help work on the farm. Life is industrialized now and its not going to go backwards. And this kind of selfish behavior that makes them happy today is going to make it miserable for future generations.

Ok THEY don't raise their kids....THEIR kids raise their kids!! Remmeber once the "babies" get to a certain again an older KID takes over. How the h*** do you think they have the time and energy to keep making all these kids?!?!?

Amen Kim.
Michelle procreates, spits out another kid and then turn the kid over to the older kids to raise. There is no way Michelle can mother all of these kids effectively. I feel sorry for the older kids who have to raise and care for their younger siblings. Everytime you see the family on TV, you will see the older children holding a baby or toddler. Many times you won't even see Michelle or Jimbob holding a kid. With this mentality, they can have keep procreating, and turning the kid over to an older child. Older children can't be children. They're force to take on the role of a caretaker. Sad, Sad, Sad.......

hey at least there not running the street mugging people or having babies at a young age like most of the kids out there idel hand get you in to trouble if there helping out the family there not running the street like the black's are and the duggar's know where all of there kids are at and there all to the same father and he's not in jail

You and Frant and I seem to be the only ones that know the older Duggar kids have to take care of the little ones. I think that is pathetic. Sure, it's okay for the older ones to help out but that's not the way it works.When the older girls went down to help Anna make dresses for the wedding, Jimbob said "I sure will be glad when the girls get back." They were overwhelmed having to take care of their little ones.

Why are his parents freak just because they have a lot of kids. As long as they have the love and means to care for their children and it looks like they do it is noones business how many kids they have. God and their doctor is the only one who can tell them that.

I am totally disgusted by this family that professes at the beginning of their program how their children don't watch much TV... Yet, they are not opposed to making a fabulous living by appearing on TV and subject others to they egocentric world manipulated by the ecocentric father... They speak out of both sides of their mouth!
