Oprah's Dream Interview: A Confessing O.J. Simpson
Oprah Winfrey is admitting that her OWN channel has gotten off to a bumpy start, but if she lands her desired interview things may start to look up by next year. Winfrey told a cable industry trade show audience in Chicago on Thursday that her "dream" is to take on O.J. Simpson and get the ultimate scoop on her upcoming chat show, 'Oprah's Next Chapter.'
"I have a dream of O.J. Simpson confessing to me," said Winfrey to cheers, according to a
Hollywood Reporter report. "And I am going to make that happen people."
Winfrey, letting it be known she thinks Simpson murdered wife Nicole Brown, said she would have a big condition for sitting down with the NFL great.
"I don't just want the interview," she told interviewer Paula Zahn. "I want the interview on the condition that you are ready, Mr. Simpson."

This bold goal may sound outlandish, but Simpson has confessed before, in a twisted way, to former HarperCollins publisher Judith Regan for a book and FOX television special. 'If I Did It' was billed as Simpson's "hypothetical" description of the 1994 murder of his wife and her friend Ronald Goldman.
He was acquitted in a circus-like murder trial in 2005 but was later convicted in a civil case that awarded the families of the victims $33.5 million.
One teensy setback for realizing Oprah's dream is the fact Simpson is currently serving hard time in a kidnapping and armed robbery case. He currently lives at Lovelock Correctional Center in Nevada and will be eligible for parole in about 6 years.
Obviously a televised O.J. confession would potentially the biggest TV event in recent history, save for Super Bowls and balloon boy coverage (kidding), and a ratings bonanza would be just what Winfrey's network could use.
She told Zahn the "bumps along the way" have been surprising to her, namely the sub-par ratings and issues with the network's direction. One top executive departed last month. She said that it's partly her fault because she had to deal with the monumental task of closing out her talk show. But now she's putting it all in for OWN.
"I now have the time to be committed to the nurturing of this network," Winfrey said. "The vacation I thought I was going to have is kind of over ... at least for the time being."
On the lower-than-expected ratings, she said "I let other people worry about ratings ... For me, it is always about service to the viewers. I have committed everything I have to this cable venture. I wouldn't bet against me."
Oprah will star in several shows on the network, including 'Oprah's Next Chapter,' 'Season 25: Oprah Behind the Scenes,' Oprah Presents Master Class' and 'Your OWN Show: Oprah's Search for the Next TV Star.'

I am generally not a fan of Oprah but if she can get a murder confession out of OJ, I'll be her fan forever.

O.J. doesn't have time for an Oprah sitdown: he's still out looking for the real killer.
I wouldn't put it past Oprah to get that out of him. She's sharp.
The ego on this woman is nearly as big as her rear end.
Think positive!
But I thought her current show was taking all her time?, The food networks Man Vs. Food.
OJ has lied to the whole world saying that he didn't kill Ron and Nichole. What is he going to be thinking when that fat cow Oprah ask him if he killed them? "OH Sh*t, if I lie to Oprah I am going to be in big trouble?"
Oprah is a fine Lady. I don't watch her show but I'm a good judge of charactor.
all counterfeit crap illegally imported from china
Same here!!
Hey Marco, A little over the top there, don't you think, and what's your background, huh
Keep dreaming Oprah, OJ will never, ever confess.
Oprah will do almost anything to get attention, and boost her network's failing rating! And, she's so desparate noiw, because her network just isn't taking off like she thought is would!
Oprah is nuts . Contession . Get real
Whether he confesses or not does not change the fact of his guilt. There is only one way he can save his own soul and that is to confess to the Lord and ask forgiveness. A confession would certainly satisfy many people here on earth, myself included, but I hope he would be truly remorseful and find a way to ask forgiveness of whom it most matters. Only then would he or anyone else find some morsel of true peace in this.. God Bless the families of those who died at his hands.
O. J. Simpson and Snott Peterson see the real killers everyday when they look in a mirror!☺
MARCO, we all would be better off if you would shut your very stupid mouth and drop dead. I hate it that people like you are allowed to have a voice when all you want to do is be a hateful bigoted troll. Archie Bunker is dead...give that shiz a rest.
cac006006, You hit the nail on the head!
if i were oj i would not interview with anyone at first oprah hated oj and she not G O D i love the girl but leave well enough along unless they pay him millions, and to be true about the whole situation he did not do it and every knows that why he got away with but he knows who did.so be real and let go
It won't ever happen. There is no way OJ will confess anything because he is just as evil and cruel as they make them. Same goes for Robert Blake, Scott Peterson and the idiot Casey Anthony. None of these murderers will ever admit their crimes.
