Joe Francis Says Reese 'Showed Her Age' By Bashing Reality TV, Sex Tapes

'Girl's Gone Wild' guru Joe Francis has said he's 90% sure that 'Gossip Girl' Blake Lively leaked those nude pictures of herself to boost her profile, which he argues has worked. Now he tells me that his pal Reese Witherspoon was wrong to say on live television that young ladies in Hollywood don't need to do reality shows, sex tapes or, in Blake's case, let naked pics of yourself get leaked.

"Let me preface that Reese Witherspoon is a friend of mine but I just think that Reese needs to rethink what she said," Joe said on my HDNet show 'Naughty But Nice' this week. "She said this on MTV, a network that has 'Jersey Shore,' '16 and Pregnant' ... There's nothing on the network that isn't reality television."

At the MTV Movie Awards, Reese took on the role of preacher: "I know it's cool to be bad, I get it ... but it's also possible to make it in Hollywood without a reality show. When I came up in this business you made a sex tape and you were embarrassed and hid it under your bed and like, if you took naked pictures of yourself on your cell phone, you hid your face."

But Joe, who knows a thing or three about mixing reality with sex, flat-out believes Reese is "showing her age by making those comments. Reese, I'm sorry, I love you, but ..."

Joe points out that Reese doesn't need to do these things (tapes, pics, reality) because she's, well, Reese Witherspoon. Who should sex it up? "Anybody who's not Reese Witherspoon," Joe joked.

"Who's heard of Blake Lively outside of Gossip Girl?" Joe asks me about the young actress that many believe has recently shown up in naked pictures. "That catapults you into the main stream now. Once you have a sex tape, you become a sex symbol. That's what catapults a star into that ... look at Marilyn Monroe. Had she never done that Playboy cover, we wouldn't be talking about her right now."

So why would Blake deny it, like she's done so far? "Because it creates controversy," Joe explains. "If it looks like she did it, then no one cares. There's no story."

I'd agree with Reese simply because I think most reality tv is a huge waste of time. I'd like to see them all disappear even if it means no longer being able to see the ones I do like.

This guy is an idiot. He should not be taken serious and he is not a role model!! If you want a real role model then check out Chris Powell on ABC's Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition. This amazing show airs Monday nights at 10pm/9c! I love it and the weight loss expert and master motivator Chirs Powell. He's a real role model and the show deserves more praise than it gets. Seriously, watch it!

Maybe this guy should "show his age" by not getting gross plastic surgery. Maybe he doesn't, but something weird is up with his face, and this "look" that he and all these 30something year old "straight" pseudo celebs on the E! Network and gossip blogs really look weird. Men who get work on their face and have fake looking teeth with the gay woman hairstyles are pretty strange.
