Tom Cruise Rocks Out With No Shirt and Long Hair (Photo)

Just a couple weeks after Alec Baldwin and Russell Brand Tweeted a photo of themselves in costume for their upcoming flick, 'Rock of Ages,' co-star Tom Cruise has done the same.

Early Friday, the 'Jerry Maguire' actor Tweeted a pic of himself in character as fictional heavy metal star Stacee Jaxx in the big-screen adaptation of the hit Broadway musical. Cruise, 48, sports long hair, skintight pants and lots of tattoos.

In the film, he sings Bon Jovi's famous hit, 'Wanted Dead or Alive.' And the director reveals he's got a good voice. "He can sing!" Adam Shankman told E! News earlier this year. "It's a miracle!"

The all-star cast of 'Rock of Ages' also includes Julianne Hough, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Malin Akerman and Mary J. Blige.

An 80's icon playing the perfect role from that era!!! He is going to prove to everyone once again (Interview With A Vampire and Les Grossman) that he can act, look good, and pull off character roles nobody thought he could. This is a new chapter in Tome Cruise's career. Tom Cruise is a mega star and everyone will soon see that and remember what he was and is all about! The younger stars should start taking notes. I may not agree with everything this guy says and does, but I can't think of anyone in this world who I can totally agree with on everything anyway. I know a star when I see one and I'm looking at one right now!!! Rock them TOM CRUISE!!

Oh Ick to you Tom loving teens and tweens, the guy is an older star and we would rather go see someone not so full of himself.

I think what gets me about him is, he just has to prove he is still twenty and baby you ain't. Whoever cast him did a bad job and should be fired.

I would rather see a great actor like Cruise than those no acting teen tweens they keep putting on the screen. People need to get out of star's personal lives, what stop worrying about what they believe in, who they divorce and all that bull. Just let them act, especially good ones like Tom Cruise. The new so-call stars, can"t act, can't sing and some have no talent at all, just primps and opposites of pimps, or people who can get teens and tweens who think they are cute to buy their junk, go to their awful movies, awful concerts, and watch their dumb reality shows. Please let great actors act.
