Amy Winehouse arrived in Belgrade to launch a comeback tour this weekend, and proceeded to slur and sway through an anemic performance one Serbian publication called "the worst" concert that locals have ever seen. Tickets were considered exorbitant in a region where citizens earn some of the lowest wages in Europe.A backup singer took over lead vocals on songs she was struggling with, and boos from the Belgrade audience were widely reported. At one point, the BBC says Winehouse threw her mic to the floor, when she wasn't mumbling lyrics. On video, seen after the jump, she's seen resting on equipment and wandering the large stage.
The troubled singer, 27, was in and out of rehab recently, in advance of her tour. But now, her rep says Monday's gig in Istanbul and Wednesday's concert in Athens have been scrapped because "she cannot perform to the best of her ability" and feels "this is the right thing to do." Her tour will resume July 8 in Spain.

Her performance wasn't any different than usual. Perhaps they were silly enough to expect talent?

She is very talented, unfortunately she has some pretty bad demons and issues that have led to her horrible addictions. I hope she is ready to get healthy and clean for good. I am sure it is never an easy thing to do especially when one is so far gone. Get well Amy!
Drugs are bad...m'kay?
These 2 weeks,or one month stays in rehab are not working. This girl needs at these 3 months in house rehab, then at least 1 year serious after care. After that lifetime follow up. She has talent. I have seen her work in England before she became famous. She is blowing a chance so many would give anything for.

It's pitiful to watch these clips, and I'm not even paying to watch the performance...have to feel sorry for folks who dished out good money to see this....

Wow, nice use of CAPITAL LETTERS, moron. Actually, Amy is very talented. That's what makes her alcohol abuse so terrible, because she's throwing away what she has.
This woman is a mess. My heart goes out to her family. I have a young relative in the same shape. She is trying to do the 12 steps to recovery.Her health is not good,and we all worry .Very sad.

I just don't have any sympathy for anyone who would pay to see this woman. She's done. I wish her well, but she's done.

That is just painful to watch! Just goes to show you rehab does NOT work. You have to quit on your own if your going to kick addictions.

and you know this from experience ??? Rehab has worked just fine for those who truly did the work.
So, SO true. I know people that have been to so many rehabs, even the nice expensive ones. They know the 12 steps by heart they've been so much and it does NO good. You'll only quit if you're ready to on your own. Most people in rehab are there because they're forced to go. If you're forced it's not going to work. I myself struggled with addiction when I was younger, and had addicts in my family who eventually died from their addiction. I was never forced to go to rehab because I avoided my family like the plague during these times. I eventually got sick of that lifestyle, burned myself out, and quit on my own. I don't think rehab would have worked for me, I think it would have made my situation worse. It will only make you distrust the people who sent you, and form a stronger bond with your addict friends.

I don't abuse drugs or alcohol, but I sing karaoke whenever possible. Am I doing something wrong...?

Yes, karaoke singers are the number one cause of pushing people over the edge into drug abuse. Best to just sing in the shower.
