Amy Winehouse arrived in Belgrade to launch a comeback tour this weekend, and proceeded to slur and sway through an anemic performance one Serbian publication called "the worst" concert that locals have ever seen. Tickets were considered exorbitant in a region where citizens earn some of the lowest wages in Europe.A backup singer took over lead vocals on songs she was struggling with, and boos from the Belgrade audience were widely reported. At one point, the BBC says Winehouse threw her mic to the floor, when she wasn't mumbling lyrics. On video, seen after the jump, she's seen resting on equipment and wandering the large stage.
The troubled singer, 27, was in and out of rehab recently, in advance of her tour. But now, her rep says Monday's gig in Istanbul and Wednesday's concert in Athens have been scrapped because "she cannot perform to the best of her ability" and feels "this is the right thing to do." Her tour will resume July 8 in Spain.

Oh my gosh...she must've been drunk AND high during that concert...how terrible. Poor girl.

That was very well done! Proper, as they say in England. There was nothing wrong with that performance. She hit every note, and it was inspiring.
Someone get her some help, please.

That's really a shame to see that much talent go down the toilet. I hope one day she can sober up and start over. I'll be waiting.

Who would go to see this no-talent, burned-out, drunkard? A total waste of time and money. Shows what kind of mess the world is in when someone like this can draw a crowd at all. Disgusting.

Amy has more talent than friends, it would appear. Her family and friends should get together and do some serious intervention before we loose one of the most talented singer songwriters around. If i`d been at this concert I`d have been angry, but not with her, she should have been led offstage by one of her people and i hope that when she came down they showed her the youtube clips from this performance. It`s sad but not too late to do something, I hope.

How sad. I'm afraid we are going to be reading her obituary instead of about her recovery. Instead of bashing her, lets all say a prayer that she gets the help she needs.

I'm not a fan of hers, but whoever let her out on stage like this should be FIRED. She has people handling her that are only looking to make money and not really interested in her getting the help she needs. I'm not sure about their laws, but her parents need to intervene a la Britney Spears style.

Amy has talent, and she is a sweet lady.
Drinking and drugs use, can be signs of a bad childhood.
People dont know how others have been treated, or what all they have been through in their lifes. For some, childhood could have been devestating for them.
I hope Amy finds the right place for recovery, soon. Living with negative thoughts can be horrible, and it does no good for anyone. It is easy to try to cover it up with alcohol, or drugs, but sooner or later, we all have to deal with our demons.
