Showing quite a bit of class, Hugh Hefner refused to take back the engagement ring he gave ex-fiancé Crystal Harris. Last week, the 'Playboy' centerfold broke up with him just five days before their wedding.RadarOnline.com reports that Harris returned to the Playboy Mansion on Sunday night to return the ring but the 'Playboy' founder told her to keep the 3-carat, $90,000 ring. And if that wasn't enough, Hefner also let his runaway bride keep the Bentley he'd given her. He did take back their King Charles dog, Charlie.

Dementia is brutal.
Jake, you are the reason we have an AIMs test. What in the hell are you trying to say?
An engagement ring was always thought of as a gift, if the engagement didn't work out and marriage did not result than the ring was a parting gift that the woman could keep as a reminder of the relationship. Hef just did what was always done in the past, this changed when men started giving girlfriends their mother's rings and wanted them back.
Wow, that was a quick replacement. Now Hef's all too happy. Happy! Happy! Happy! A happeeeeey man! I have a strange feeling that he wanted to die in someone's arm. Hmm.
huh?
If you are saying that he is not entitled to get it back, WRONG!!!! When you give someone a diamond as an engagement to be married token and the engagement is called off, legally, the engagement ring has to be returned to the one who purchased it, that is if they want it back. She probably woukd not have had to give back the Bently because it was simply a gift to her but if the title was in his name, it would have been up to the court to decide but they probably would have decided in his favor.
Wrong - an engagement ring is not a gift, it is a promise of marriage. If the marriage does not take place, the ring is given back.
you tell em, Forest!
Heffner pimps all his women.
DCWalker: I don't know where you've been for the last six-decades but the idea of an engagement ring "thought of as a gift" is ancient history. It was Hef's decision insofar as gifting it to her afterwards.
An engagement ring is a gift given in contemplation of marriage. If the women does not marry the man, she is supposed to return the ring. Legally, he could have sued her to get the ring back, but he chose not to.
I like older guys and live in a retirement home an think its time for him to join me..

Forget Hef. I'm your guy!
Hefner belongs on a "PIG FARM" Thats his regular LIFE-STYLE!!!
Why argue what is customary to do with the ring after a broken engagemnt? She attempted to give it back, he said keep it. Nothing to argue.
Right on, baddude....
you're as sick as he is...get real granny!!!
Well, letting her keep a 3 carat engagement ring and a Bentley is cheaper than Palimony or alimony might have been over the long haul.
Hef knows a good break away deal when he sees one.

He let her keep the ring for services rendered, right?!?!
