Showing quite a bit of class, Hugh Hefner refused to take back the engagement ring he gave ex-fiancé Crystal Harris. Last week, the 'Playboy' centerfold broke up with him just five days before their wedding.RadarOnline.com reports that Harris returned to the Playboy Mansion on Sunday night to return the ring but the 'Playboy' founder told her to keep the 3-carat, $90,000 ring. And if that wasn't enough, Hefner also let his runaway bride keep the Bentley he'd given her. He did take back their King Charles dog, Charlie.

Hef - we men make those mistakes. As they say - It's the f_ _ _ _ _ g you get,for the f_ _ _ _ _ g
you got.
Sorry folks- Crystal has Gold Digger written all over her,- I'm sure we'll see her and hear of her again, as we do of most like her.

Legally, an engagement ring belongs to the person who purchased it. It is a symbol of a contract, and if the marriage doesn't take place the contract was broken, and the person the ring was given to must give it back. It's similar to when you buy a house and give the bank "Good faith" money, if you end up NOT buying the house, the bank has to give it back. And I think a 3ct ring is perfectly acceptable, especially if you're marrying a PERSON you love, not a checkbook you love.

Legally, I don't that a precedent has been set. It has always been left up to the parties involved to determine who gets the rigng. Yes, it is a symbol of a promise, and giving it back is the "right thing" to do, but how many in today's world do the "right thing"?
Ooops....that should read "I don't think........"
in what right mind does an 85 year old man with one foot in the grave think a 20 year old could look at him with love and no interest? goes to show you that weather they are rich or poor men are pigs.
by the way...an engagement ring is not a gift. it's a promise of marriage. if the marriage does not take place...the ring is supposed to be returned.

Surely, he didn't think she was marrying him for love. He can't be that stupid. He needs to pick someone more his own age. Betty White is available. On second thought, she can do better than him. Who in their right mind would marry him if he didn't have all that money? I'm sure she serviced him in the past. At least she offered to give the ring back. For the person who said it was a gift. Not. The girl said she would marry him and took it back, so she should give back the ring. I'm sure with all his millions, it doesn't bother him though. Wasn't he married to Adrienne Barbeau(sp?)?

Hef was once involved with Barbi Benton (NOT Adrienne Barbeau).
He has only had two marriages . . . to Mildred Williams and Kimberly Conrad.
Contrary to what most younger people think around here, getting older is not a disease.

"Stilted groom"? Hef's a little old for stilts. Maybe you meant jilted.

Joan Rivers and Betty White are still available Hef, at least they are in your age and looks range. Maybe you can give the Kardashians a shot but you'll need a bigger ring and a darker weiner.

Hey Recks - if you really wore them, you would know that the suits were made by Hart Schaffner & Marx!

Good grief, straight guys are dumber than they look! I would have snatched this ring back from that creature without delay.

The "stilted" groom? You mean he's a circus performer, too?
