'The Vampire Diaries' Co-Stars Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder Go Public as a Couple

'The Vampire Diaries' co-stars Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder have finally come out as a couple in public.

According to UsMagazine.com, Dobrev and Somerhalder, who have been reportedly dating for nearly a year, were seen arriving hand-in-hand at the MuchMusic Video Awards on Sunday night.

On the red carpet, Somerhalder, 32, was asked who he was most excited to see, he replied, "Nina Dobrev!"

Dobrev was also asked the same question, but she was a little less forthcoming. The 22-year-old actress replied, "I'm excited to see Selena Gomez because she's hosting and I'm really happy for her."

A friend of the couple recently talked to Us about the couple and said, "They are the real deal."

Dobrev and Somerhalder were recently seen holding hands and enjoying each other's company at the Coachella Music Festival in April.

My heart is broken,I think Ian Somerhalder is the handsomest man that has been on t.v. in years.I am a steadfast fan of Vampire Diaries & I worry what will happen to the show when this doesn't work out.

Well I think it makes the Damon and Elena relationship even more exciting to see evolve because the audience knows that either way...the feelings are REAL. BUT if Nina screws this relationship up, then Ian, you better call me!! ;)

Sure they're pretty and everything, but in that photo, they have the 4 most vacant eyes I've ever seen. Do they share an IQ?

I think if you look carefully, this particular picture isnt a picture of the two of them together, but rather a photoshopped image throwing the two of them in front of a stock background. If that is the case then the "artist" could definitely have picked two better images, but I dont believe this is actually them together. I could, however, be wrong.

i seriously doubt this to be true.. yes the photo can be manipulated by anyone to give the impression that they are entwined,lol also take into fact the 12 yr difference of the 2.even if they were dating , it is well known in celebrity status' that it will not last !

I don't really follow the personal lives of the stars, I just clicked on the link thinking its people from shows I watch--it wasn't. I don't know these folks nor the series (sorry, I'm sure its very good--has a huge following!)but when the page came up, Ian just about knocked my socks off! I'm past (or so I thought) the age of drooling over hunky Stars, but Ian is truly a knockout! You go Boy!
