Roger Ebert on Ryan Dunn: 'Friends Don't Let Jackasses Drink and Drive'

After a photo of Ryan Dunn drinking with two friends was posted to his Twitter account (but has since been removed) just hours before the fatal car wreck that took his own and his passenger's life, suspicions that Dunn was intoxicated before getting behind the wheel have begun to circulate.

The twittersphere has been buzzing with rumblings of Dunn's potential DUI ruling -- although, at this point, a police report categorizes the tragedy as an 'Auto Accident' rather than a 'DUI' -- included in which film critic, Roger Ebert shared his take on the accident.

"Friends Don't let jackasses drink and drive," Ebert tweeted.

Although a formal conclusion as to whether or not Dunn was over the legal alcohol consumption level will have to wait until his autopsy results are revealed, according TMZ, a source who was at the bar, Barnaby's of America in West Chester, with Dunn, the 'Jackass' star was "wasted" and "had a lot to drink."

But according to another source, Dunn consumed three Miller Lites and three "girlie shots" in almost a four hour time frame and was "not too drunk to drive."

The name of Dunn's deceased passenger has yet to be disclosed and will be released pending autopsy results and positive identification.

Excuse me, but Jesus only anwsers and takes over only when you cry out to him and are willing to hand things over to him.
It doesn't sound as if or appears to me like Ryan was seeking Jesus to take over the wheel. - Just my personal observation.

For 35 years you were FORCED to listen to Roger Ebert, o my! did you ever report this crime, and is dating a black women also a crime in YOUR opinion? Mr. Ebert, shut the hell up. For some reason you believe that we are interested in your opinion, newsflash, we are not interested.

This was a terrible accident, and our thoughts and prayers should be with Ryan and the other person in the car, and their family and friends at this most difficult time.

"Another source said", That other source is most likely Barnaby's...who wishes to now avoid a major lawsuite from Dunn's family, criminal charges for letting Dunn leave and drive that intoxicated, and the loss of their liqor license...

3 girlie shots and 3 Miller Lites. Right because his photo with his two buddies, he clearly is drinking a LONG ISLAND ICE TEA.

Finally someone has the balls to say something! Do not glorify someone who is dead when their death is their own fault. Ok he was talented, yes it's a horrible thing for any family to go through, and unfortunately it isn't just his family dealing with a loss. But he got behind a wheel under the influence, doesn't matter how high or low the impairment is he was still impaired. Yes we should mourn, but we should learn and teach others that this could have been avoided. Don't saint a man that killed himself and another.

Never thought of R. Ebert as being so tasteless. DUI hasn't even been proven, if it could be, it was most likely more related to speeding. The only ones he's hurting are the friends and family left behind, not the deceased himself. Guess he needed some attention, however he could get it.

You've gotta give Roger Ebert some slack. He's up in age and probably has "old-timer's" disease and didn't know what he was saying.

Ryan Dunn: Unfortunately, his life was cut down much too soon. I hope this incident reminds us of how we live our lives.
