'Jackass' star Ryan Dunn and passenger Zachary Hartwell, were killed Monday in Pennsylvania after Dunn's Porsche went off the road, hit a guardrail and careened into the woods where it caught on fire.According to the L.A. Times, the official coroner's report confirms that blunt force trauma and thermal trauma were the official causes of death in the accident.
After an accident reconstruction, Police Chief Michael Carroll told RadarOnline.com that the Porsche 911 was going "about 130 mph" when the accident happened in a reported 55-mph zone.
"I've never seen a car destroyed in an automobile accident the way this car was even before it caught on fire," Carroll said. "The automobile actually came apart. It was unbelievable and I've been on a lot of fatal accident scenes. This is by far the worse I've ever seen."
Although there has been heavy speculation as to whether the group's night of partying had a direct influence on the fatal crash, the tragedy has been labeled an 'auto accident' rather than a 'DUI,' pending the results of a toxicology report, which will be available in four to six weeks.

@linda, (Amen. I'm sick of people sugar coating these idiots behaviour. As far as I can see it was murder/suicide, plain and simple. And while friends and family mourn, they also need to look at how they may have contributed to such chaos. Idiots.)
Okay, the man did something dumb, and now he's dead. Good riddens, right? So the friends and family should think about what they did to contribute to this event? I think you are the idiot. I hope, that you are put in the friends and families shoes one day, I hope someone you care about does something stupid and pays for it with their life, I wonder if youll sugar coat it, mourn them, or wish they were still alive. I doubt you will have the same opinion
I totally agree! Star or not he was driving drunk and now he has paid the consequence. Thank god he did not kill an innocent person. Drunk drivers do suck!!
I AGREE 100%!!! Better him than my SOBER family members on the road.
Robert you are 100% correct!!
You don't even know that he was drinking much less drunk. Could have been totally related to his speed. You weren't there and don't know what happened so why make yourself look like an idiot?
while unfortunate, i do agree with you... however, i am sorry for the families... but, thank god that there no others involved.. so many times, people that have nothing to do with other people being irresponsible, pay the price...im just surprised that perhaps, no one made an effort to take away his car keys... in my opinion, those people, are just as guilty...
Yeah! I'll bet you've never driven while under the influence have you motormouth? Your undoubtedly a "Saint."
He wasn't drunk. He was taking his own life.
I agree. What a lame chit head.
You are so right! My cousin Andrew was killed on July 18,2010 by his girlfriend who was driving drunk, and she too was driving extremely fast 186 to be exact. People think that they can defeat anything and they don't think about the consequences before hand. Its ridiculous that people act this immature. It is sad, however Ryan Dunn basically killed himself. He chose to get behind the wheel of the car.
For those who are saying "wait until the facts are in" ... the police report says he had a BAC of .196% ...more than double the legal limit. Jackazz probably won't be asked to stand trial since he is dead, so there won't be a "proven guilty" in court. But PLEASE can the apologists for this drunken killer STOP attacking people who point out the idiocy of getting drunk and driving at 130 mph? It might be rude ... but it's less rude than killing a friend with your drunken foolishness.
gut gesagt King Robert. As for you, Shempbat, going through life with a high school sophomore's brain is no way to live.
ur a real piece of work talking about somebody like that, hope u have a son or daughter that does the same thing...see what u have to say about it then!!!! now im goin to get drunk and look for them, u fuk
I AGREE.
J@ck@ss is as j@ck&ss does . . . . and this was pure, quintessential J@CK&SS ! ! !
Amen. He could have killed a bus of tourists or a van of kids as well...what a useless idiot.
have a little respect a man just lost his life. i agree he should not have been driving so fast but its not fair for you to make an accusation the the facts are still unclear.
At leest he KILLED himself before he KILLED INNOCENT people!! What a MORON!!
Toxicology reports released on Wednesday said his blood-alcohol content that was more than twice the legal limit for drivers.
The report said Dunn's blood-alcohol level was 0.196 at the time of the crash early Monday morning. The legal limit for drivers in the state is .08.
Amen, King Robert!
No tears should be shed for this idiot. Thankfully, he's been permanently taken off the road so that no other innocent person will be killed by his criminal and thoughtless actions.
Whether he was drunk or not isn't really the issue. He was driving recklessly. No toxicology report needed to determine that.
