Identity of Passenger in Ryan Dunn's Fatal Car Crash Revealed

After a day of speculation surrounding the identity of Ryan Dunn's passenger in Monday morning's fatal crash that left both men dead, he has been identified as Zachary Hartwell, according to TMZ. Hartwell was at a Philadelphia bar, Barnaby's of America, with a group of friends, including Dunn, before taking the last ride of his life in Dunn's Porsche 911 GT3.

Hartwell, a 30-year-old stuntman, was a production assistant on 'Jackass 2' and also had a small role in Bam Margera's 2009 flick, 'Minghags.' Hartwell was pictured with Dunn and a third friend in a photograph of the group drinking and smoking late Sunday night that Dunn posted to his Tumblr just hours before his own and Hartwell's death -- the photo has since been removed.

According to Radar Online, Hartwell was also a former Navy Seal who had completed three tours in Iraq and a newlywed -- he married his wife, Rachel, in October 2010.

Although there has been heavy speculation as to whether the group's night of partying had a direct influence on the fatal crash, the tragedy has been labeled an 'Auto Accident' rather than a 'DUI,' pending the results of a toxicology report.

Both Dunn and Hartwell died at the site of the car wreck. Dunn's vehicle hit a guardrail on Pennsylvania's Route 322 at around 2:38 AM Monday morning before careening off the road and into the woods where the car burst into flames. Dunn's autopsy is currently underway to discover if alcohol did, indeed, play a role in the death of the two young men.

RIP Ryan and Zach. Dunn lived life to the fullest every day, but with the statistics he had of totaling people's cars, I think even he knew one day he was gonna bite the bullet. Be at peace, brother.

While young, they were not THAT young. They were definitly old enough to know better. I am sure this is something he has done many times before and this time karma just caught up with him. I am just grateful that there were not other innocent people on the roads when he took his final ride. A sad loss for the families involved, but only two families involved instead of more. You play you pay.

I truly believe the tweet or whatever he put up of being intoxicated should be put back up if the toxicology reports state that alcohol was the cause. Wake up people - it is dangerous to drink and drive. Luckily it only took their lives and not innocent people.

It's AMAZING.....this country makes such a BIG DEAL about legalizing Marijuana....yet, there's LIQUOR in every grocery store on this planet !! OMG... Alcohol (and tobacco) kill more & more people every day...and these drunk drivers take innocent people's lives with them !! IS this country just STUPID....get the liquor off the shelf....control it, like you do marijuana. I'm in my 60's, don't smoke or drink...but I have to say I've never seen any statistics where pot smokers kill billions of people every year by driving under the influence (DUI)....tobacco kills even more ! In Oregon,they have State controlled liquor stores. Guess GREED (profits from alcohol & tobacco)...is more important than human life in this country!! America...get your head(s) out of your back-side(s) !!! I feel like I'm living in a world filled with 'Pod-People'...sad !!
