Evan Rachel Wood Shows Off New Pixie Cut (Photo)

What better way to start off summer than with a fresh new haircut? Evan Rachel Wood debuted a shorter 'do Tuesday night at the fourth season premiere of HBO's 'True Blood.'

The actress, 23, hit the red carpet at L.A.'s ArcLight's Cinerama Dome wearing Dolce & Gabbana vest and trousers, complete with red suspenders, according to Just Jared.

Wood, who split with rocker Marilyn Manson last summer, recently came out as bisexual during an interview with Esquire Magazine.

"Yes," she said when asked if she dates women. "I grew up in love with David Bowie. So I was always into very androgynous things. Guys, girls... I'm into androgyny in general."

She also touched upon her reputation, especially after dating Manson.

"I'm constantly changing, I'm constantly growing. I think I'm a little controversial?" she said, adding, "I just try and keep some mystery, so hopefully people can't really put their finger on it."

Ellen is not ugly. She's a spokesperson for Covergirl so someone thinks she's pretty. Her hair is short and she has a nice face. Is she ravaging beautiful? That's in the eye of the beholder, but I don't think Ellen is ugly. Even Rachel Wood just wants publicity. She probably does swing both ways, but who cares? She's a pretty good actress in the things I've seen her in. Her father is a local celeb in Raleigh, NC near where I live. He plays Scrooge every year except for last year. He had heart problems. I used to like Once And Again that Evan Rachel was on and she played a lesbian on that one. She was good in Conspiracy.

Have you ever noticed...that EVERYONE in the media, celebs, etc. etc. has EXACTLY THE SAME HAIRDO??? Long hair, parted.....or just curled long around their face. I'm glad to see someone deviate from that copy cat "look"!!They ALL LOOK ALIKE.....same hair, just different colors.

I like the hair long but the short look brings out her features more. I don't know why people throw in their sexual preference. I guess they think they will get more hits on their story. Dating Marilyn Manson says enough to promote shock value and tells me all I want to know about this one.

Okay, I'm only half serious when I post this, but I think almost every starlet goes through the "hack my hair off for attention" phase to be honest. Okay, some do it just for a movie role, but I do think some do it since they know they will get more press. They then slowly let it grow back out since they AGAIN get more press from the gossip "news" for letting their short haircut grow out again. They may like the new look, they may hate it or just be ambilivant to it, doesn't matter. It's all to get a few more minutes of "press" from the gossip rags, that's it. Even Emma Watson (I think) has started to slowly let her boy's haircut (okay, fine pixie cut) grow out some now.
