George Clooney and Elisabetta Canalis Split

After rumors that the gorgeous couple was on the rocks, it's official. Another one bites the dust in the wake of George Clooney's bachelor ways -- this time it's Elisabetta Canalis.

"We are not together anymore. It's very difficult and very personal, and we hope everyone can respect our privacy," the ex-pair said in a joint statement released on Wednesday.

We can't say we didn't see this coming. The Italian actress and model, 32, recently told an Italian magazine that she had no plans to live the bachelorette life forever and knew that she wanted to be married at some point -- a revelation that most likely sent Clooney, 50, who has vowed to never marry again, running.

After more than a year together, the couple was last seen together last month as they celebrated Clooney's 50th birthday. Brunette leggy beauties get your resumes together the silver fox is on the prowl.

Hey,I'm a leggy brunette and also, like George, I was married once and once was enough. I hope people respect his decision not to remarry. People just want different things in life. I wish them both happiness.

Leggy as in she has both her legs. She didn't say how long or dimensions so I don't think it is considered bragging. LOL

George never made any bones about the fact that he does not want to marry again. Unfortunately if you date someone 18 years younger, they probably want to have children and therefore want to be married. Perhaps he should date someone closer to his age who wants the same things he wants.

Better to marry someone who isn't old enough to be a grandfather to the kiddies they may have had. George is a good looking man, but too old for her. She probably would've spent most of the marriage changing his diapers and pre-chewing his food for him.

Good for George for not MARRYING someone he isn't sure of. What's wrong with you people? Age? He is healthy and handsome and rich. 50 is certainly not old. She would be lucky at 32 to have him. H's a great, ethical, man who is awesome to all his exes. Do some research people and don't be fooled by a pretty face...she does not have a very savory past in Italy and she has been around way more than him. I am sure he probably realized that he didn't want to indulge in certain of her 'habits' at his age and maturity level. She is not a mom or a wife...she's a hot chick. These roles should not be confused folks!!! I have 7 brothers. Certain girls you marry. Certain ones you don't. She's one you don't Watch and see...time will tell you what she's all about.

I don't feel sorry for any of these women. He has never hidden the fact that he does not want to get married. They all think they will change him but marriage is not for everyone - especially for some who have tried it once and failed. NEWS FLASH - if you want to get married don't date George Clooney! I like the idea of marriage but will give up the idea of it if George wants me...lol

He will get married when gay marriage is legel, him and Brad make a nice couple.

@Tasha - well said. I hate it when women think they can change a man either by trapping him by having a baby or hanging around in the hope he might marry them. When George says he doesn't want marriage/kids - he means it and good for him!

He seems to be very up front with whoever is the current girlfriend. He does not want to marry. I am sure he has really broken some hearts over the years, but he is what he is. Perhaps when he is 70 and looks back over his life he will have regrets on losing some of his favorite girlfriends.I always thought he was very callous with the French girl that was a waitress that he dated for a few years. Eventually he will lose his looks and he will be glad he has a lot of money to buy an affectionette lady.

They are always foreign girls and alot younger, i think they are hired, i personally think he's secretly gay, i think that is why he married the older Talia Balsam when he was young just for publicity sake, that didn't last long. He yells about political correctness all the time but he won't admit he's gay, hypocrite!
