On the upcoming season of 'Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew,' Michael Lohan apologized to his daughter, Lindsay Lohan, for passing down genes that contribute to an addictive personality. Wednesday on 'The View,' Lohan said his often tumultuous relationship with his daughter is getting better, and that they were recently together for Father's Day.

"It's a hell of a lot better than it was," he said of his relationship with Lindsay. "It's a lot better. There's still some ... It's not Lindsay anymore. It's the damage that was done as a result of my divorce with Dina."

Lohan also denied that Lindsay was considering dropping the last name Lohan, and said he stands by his daughter as she is under house arrest for allegedly stealing a necklace from a jewelery store. "I believe what my daughter tells me," he said. "When she's wrong, I'll tell her she's wrong."
