Ryan Dunn at Double the Legal Alcohol Limit at Time of Crash

After much speculation, it has been confirmed that Ryan Dunn was intoxicated when he
drove his Porsche off of a Pennsylvania road at
130 MPH Monday morning, killing himself and his passenger,
Zachary Hartwell.
After an autopsy and toxicology reports were conducted, it was concluded that Dunn had the legal alcohol limit nearly doubled. His blood alcohol level was .196 while the legal limit in Pennsylvania is .08, according to
TMZ.
Dunn reportedly consumed at least three beers and a number of shots -- one round of drinks which he documented in a photo he posted to his Tumblr account just hours before his death.
But according to West Goshen Police Chief Michael Carroll, "No other substances were found in his blood other than the alcohol."
Both Dunn and Hartwell were killed instantly by blunt force head trauma upon impact, before their vehicle burst into flames.
"I've never seen a car destroyed in an automobile accident the way this car was even before it caught on fire," Carroll said previously. "The automobile actually came apart. It was unbelievable and I've been on a lot of fatal accident scenes. This is by far the worse I've seen."
Dunn's colleagues and friends, including Bam Margera, Johnny Knoxville and Steve-O, have been showing their love for the fallen jokester and stunt man, remembering the kind and comedic member of the 'Jackass' family.

thats lame
Anyone else think that vh needs to lay off the drugs and alcohol? Seems to have affected his thinking process. What idiotic statements.
Not sure if troll or just really stupid.
I feel sorry for you! You're just plain ignorant! Do you know what that word means?
wtf are you on right now ?
somethings happen by faith true, but he CHOSE to get wasted and drive his fault
5150 you name says it all.
There are serious issues here for the bar Barnaby’s under dram shop laws. Anyone that drunk had to be drinking for a long time. My guess the family will sue the bar.

I know the is responsible but they are not babysitters cause if he did not drink their you know he would be drinking and getting drunk in his car or where ever else he does his drinking. But 2 sue the bar.
2 wrongs do not make a right
PS So that means they will sue the bar and the other family will sue them
Of course if they need the money they'll sue. In this country no one is responsible for their own behavior it's always some one else's fault.
Not necessarily, it was stated in one article that he slammed several drinks right before leaving. Also, twice the limit usually indicates someone who has been practicing, whereas he may not appear as drunk as he is because he is used to that level of intoxication. I would be interested to know if his level was still rising or falling at that point, that would tell us more.
For the pictures of the wreck I'm surprised they could find anyway to test him. Very sad to see him or anyone get killed this way.

I have to agree, it's very very sad. I pray for all involved. The pain that addicition can cause is devestating. I've never seen a wreck so terrible. I'm praying that kids see that and relize that they can get hurt and CAN die. Time to grow up. It really weighs on my heart, I've had plenty addictions. and there go I but through the Grace of God, I'm still alive.
You get the idiot of the day award, grow up kid!

He wasn't eating! He was drinking!
Kristina, I don't think you get it...it was a tasteless joke...
Let's hope that people take this tragedy and actually do something and learn from it not to drink and drive or let someone else get behind the wheel.

Drunk drivers don't learn until they kill themselves and usually someone else too.
