Jennifer Lopez in Talks for Two Major Movies

Current 'American Idol' judge Jennifer Lopez recently revealed she's on the fence about returning to the judging table, and now we know why. The singer is in talks to star in two upcoming feature films.

According to Deadline, Lopez is up for the female lead opposite Jason Statham in 'Parker,' an adaptation of the Donald Westlake mystery series. Statham would play the title role, a character Mel Gibson and Lee Marvin both in 'Payback' and 'Point Blank,' respectively. Lopez would play Leslie, a love interest for Parker, who gets involved in a heist.

The studio hopes to create an action franchise, starting with 'Parker,' so if Lopez lands the part, there's a possibility she could appear in a sequel as well.

The second role Lopez has on her plate right now is in the film adaption of 'What to Expect When You're Expecting.' Yep, they're making the pregnancy how-to guide into a movie. Lopez would star alongside Cameron Diaz and Matthew Morrison in a supporting role.

So while Lopez circles a return to the big screen (we're not counting 2010's 'The Back-Up Plan') and her 'Idol' judging chair, at least we have her summer anthem 'On the Floor' to get our J.Lo fix until she makes a decision.

Why is there so much hate for her? I truly do not get it.
She is gorgeous from head to toe, love her movies (ok...except Gigli but nobody's perfect), nice voice and she can dance like there is no tomorrow! To me she seems like a lovely woman inside and out.

OH! Please, there are so, so many talented women, they need to get the credit and be noticed. Real beauty, real beautiful voices, real talent in acting. What if someone in your family was trying to get recongnized in hollywood but couldn't because of this fake person?

There will be "haters" when a person like J.lo pretends to be talented, when in reality there's absolutely NO talent to be found.

This is what people/audiences RESENT AND HATE, and why there are haters out there - because they can spot a phony or a faker like J.lo a mile away. She knows PR marketing and pushiness, but NO talent in acting or singing.

J.lo seemingly good acting in 'Out of Sight' is due to the great talent and direction of the Director Steven Sodenbergh, who somehow managed to coax a somewhat decent performance out of her. Her acting is one-demensional and flat - she knows how to play herself- I can not see her morph into other charachters. This alone proves how incredibly lacking she is in the talent dept. Hollywood is incredibly stupid for employing someone who doesn't cut it in movies. Her 'pretty' is due to all that heavy make-up and a team of 100 to make her 'presentable' otherwise she is really quite ordinary or even ugly. TRUE talent and beauty would be Penelope Cruz. Head and shoulders above J.lo!!!

She aint no Meryl Streep, but she was ok in Wedding Planner, Monster in Law and that maid movie(Maid in Manhattan?) in additions to Selena of course. Those films weren't oscar bait by any means so she was just fine in what those movies were supposed to be, lighthearted fun.
