Lindsay Lohan Guilty of 'Poor Judgement,' Not Probation Violation

After testing positive for alcohol,
Lindsay Lohan arrived in court this morning for a probation violation hearing -- a legal bout that was apparently never even supposed to take place.
After facing Judge Stephanie Sautner, in what looked like could have resulted in jail time for Lohan, it was ruled that the starlet would get off scot free -- but only on a technicality. Before being placed under house arrest, Lohan was ordered to adhere to controlled substance testing, not alcohol testing. On top of that, Lohan's substance testing was only supposed to take place between February 3 and February 25.
But the judge did rule that Lohan is only permitted one friend to visit her Venice, California home at a time. She is also forbidden from hosting any parties. According to Sautner, the only thing Lohan is guilty of is "extremely poor judgement," according to
TMZ.
Lohan's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, was all smiles after the court appearance telling reporters, "I feel like you guys are disappointed ... [Lohan's] done nothing wrong. She's done everything right. So let's give her credit for that."
The forthcoming 'Gotti: Three Generations' star was tested twice last week for drugs and alcohol (tests that have now been deemed superfluous) while serving her sentence under house arrest, when she tested positive for alcohol, setting off a media firestorm. She is currently serving a four month house arrest sentence for stealing a necklace from a Venice, California jewelry store -- a sentence that is supposed to culminate next week, on June 29.
Lohan also seemed to be in high spirits following her hearing: "Thank you to all my fans for your support. Sending you Love and Light. xo," she
tweeted.
But other stars are less than thrilled with Lohan's lack of punishment: "What has happened to the justice system in the sate of California seem like all you have to be is famous & they let you get away w/ murder,"
Kelly Osbourne tweeted.
So what's one thing that Lohan did get out of her unnecessary court appearance? She finally nailed appropriate court attire. The troubled actress arrived at the LAX Airport Courthouse sporting black trousers, a button down shirt, aviators and a high ponytail -- a far cry from her previously revealing court get-ups.

Gimme a break. How many times has she been in rehab? AS long as she continues to get away with her " I can do anything I want, 'cause I'm Lindsay " behavior, she will not change. Lock her up, show her she's not special, then maybe she'll change ......but I doubt it.
She needs a 12 month sentence instead of a 12 step program in order for her to sober up! I just hope that she doesn't end up hurting someone because thats the only way the judicial system will take action!
What makes her so special anyway? She was never a great actress yet was paid millions. What is it about her that deserves any better treatment than a bum who drinks out of a paper bag in the park? Or a shoplifter who gets hauled in for lifting a necklace from Saks?
She has been to rehab many times and it has not worked. Maybe a jail cell will set her straight!
Sources are also saying that the Los Angeles County Probation Department will ask the judge to take Lohan out of house arrest and throw her in County Jail.I love reading this , So does My boyfriend .he is almost 11year older than me .i met him via agelessc'upid.c'om a nice place for seeking age le ss love.which gives you a chance to make your life better and open opportunities for you to meet the attractive young girls and treat you like a king. Maybe you wanna check it out or tell your friends..
Maybe if you go back to drinking you'll ba able to write a proper sentence.....you know: caps, periods, coherent statements, etc. All the things that SOBER people do when writing. With you it must go the opposite way. You need help.
Lindsay was convicted of theft and drug offences, not alcohol abuse. She deserves jail time, not re-hab.
When is she going to jail already? It's pretty obvious she just doesn't get it, and the justice system is failing her by failing to act at all. She's merely a hacktress for crying out loud. It's time to throw her fat azz in jail for real.

it's amazing .. you people are a bunch of American Nazis.. you don't put people in jail for having a drink,,, you put them in jail for breaking a law.. not some made up thing by some egomaniac judge who thinks he/she has power over all citizens and can dictate behavior... no way. break a law, pay the fine.. have a drink none of the gov't business.. behavioral modification can not be found in the law books .. no where
Hey Pau..She did break the law..first by DUI's, next by not abiding by her probation, next by continuing to drink when a judge ordered her not to do that. Maybe this is ok in LA-LA Land where you reside but not here. Hope this helps clarify your thought process.
Paul she did break the law...stealing. and the last time I looked cocaine was illegal, she's been busted for that also. If she were you or me she would have been behind bars long ago.
What you fail to realize Paul, you dimwit, is that she keeps violating her probation because she got behind thw wheel of her car under the influence AND she had cocaine in her pocket (HER pocket not her friend's). What if she had killed someone?
She just doesn't get it, and she needs to be punished like she was any other piece of trash.
Why isn't MADD all over this one?
Let her rehab in jail

That's right, might save her life. One day. This is why making a living from your looks is little more than prostitution, IMHO.
Let her Rehab in Jail,,,,for 5 to 10 years!! THAT should send her the message!! Though I doubt ANYTHING will get through to this dimwit!
You've got to be kidding me. "Throw her in jail?" Right, because that sentence has been so effective: the typical result is "due to overcrowding...," and home she goes. What a crock. C'mon, legal system and mental health professionals: Do your job, and remand her to rehab for a solid six months; either that, or keep using taxpayer money to fund Lindsay's endless lost weekend.

What sentence? She served 14 days for all the trouble she's been in and she already had long-term rehab. She needs a jail sentence which is long enough that even with "overcrowding" or "good behavior" she will still be in there for at least 6 months. And since that equally skank lawyer of hers stopped her from being tested in May when she actually should have been, Shawn Holley belongs in the cells next to her.
Now she's guilty of "poor judgement". Sheesh, if that isn't the understatment of the year, I don't know what is!
This should be fun, who will she blame for this? I see jail on Thursday. She could not make it under house arrest. She is beyond help.
