Lindsay Lohan Guilty of 'Poor Judgement,' Not Probation Violation

After testing positive for alcohol,
Lindsay Lohan arrived in court this morning for a probation violation hearing -- a legal bout that was apparently never even supposed to take place.
After facing Judge Stephanie Sautner, in what looked like could have resulted in jail time for Lohan, it was ruled that the starlet would get off scot free -- but only on a technicality. Before being placed under house arrest, Lohan was ordered to adhere to controlled substance testing, not alcohol testing. On top of that, Lohan's substance testing was only supposed to take place between February 3 and February 25.
But the judge did rule that Lohan is only permitted one friend to visit her Venice, California home at a time. She is also forbidden from hosting any parties. According to Sautner, the only thing Lohan is guilty of is "extremely poor judgement," according to
TMZ.
Lohan's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, was all smiles after the court appearance telling reporters, "I feel like you guys are disappointed ... [Lohan's] done nothing wrong. She's done everything right. So let's give her credit for that."
The forthcoming 'Gotti: Three Generations' star was tested twice last week for drugs and alcohol (tests that have now been deemed superfluous) while serving her sentence under house arrest, when she tested positive for alcohol, setting off a media firestorm. She is currently serving a four month house arrest sentence for stealing a necklace from a Venice, California jewelry store -- a sentence that is supposed to culminate next week, on June 29.
Lohan also seemed to be in high spirits following her hearing: "Thank you to all my fans for your support. Sending you Love and Light. xo," she
tweeted.
But other stars are less than thrilled with Lohan's lack of punishment: "What has happened to the justice system in the sate of California seem like all you have to be is famous & they let you get away w/ murder,"
Kelly Osbourne tweeted.
So what's one thing that Lohan did get out of her unnecessary court appearance? She finally nailed appropriate court attire. The troubled actress arrived at the LAX Airport Courthouse sporting black trousers, a button down shirt, aviators and a high ponytail -- a far cry from her previously revealing court get-ups.

You are right...Jail Thursday. But you forgot to add...Release for overcrowding Friday. Perhaps jail is better than house arrest in Lohan logic. Jail is done in days. House arrest...that's months and she can't go out and party with her pals so jail is a way out of that terrible long and boring house arrest. There you go! Lohan logic!
So 6 more days of house arrest, then let the party begin. Loser, who gets special treatment.
miss slick , she thinks.lol

We need a GREAT JUDGE like Judge Perry in there. He wouldn't let her keep on making fun of the Judicial System. She needs jail time. Gosh...she is throwing parties!!! A joke throw her in jail. How many times can this happen??

She's done the rehab thing already & gone to jail. She is not taking any of this seriously & the fact that she's been partying while on house arrest has proven that. I think it will be jail again this time & every time after this as well.

Everything is just a joke to this girl. She was lucky enough to get house arrest instead of jail so she thinks she can do what she wants. I hope she gets a really tough judge who throws the book at her. Even sending her back to rehab won't help since she considers that a joke also. But I suspect she will get just another slap on the hand.

Personally, I am tired of "people of notoriety" simply thumping their noses at the judicial system because they think "they can". The handling of these cases is evidence enough that they might, in fact, be right. Lohan should be violated, sent to jail for six months, and then required to enter rehab, at her own expense, for at least another six months. It is time to take this girl out of the picture and make her pay the price of her arrogance and stupidity. I am sick of hearing about her and her vanity needs to buy her a sentence that she can't squirm out of because of some slick lawyer. Go away, Lohan. You and your story are old news. Get your life together and move on.

Betty you are correct, but even than the excuses will be there. That person that she runs down and kills, should not have been sitting on the bus stop bench or walking on the sidewalk. there will always be an excuse that will be accepted.
Why is this even news? Who cares...

Is anyone really surprised?

Big deal, so she will get put in "jail" for a few hours. She will not learn anything from that. Lock her up for 6 months.

Until she accepts RESPONSIBILITY for her actions, nothing will change. It's all about the ISM ( I, Self, Me.)
