Lindsay Lohan Guilty of 'Poor Judgement,' Not Probation Violation

After testing positive for alcohol, Lindsay Lohan arrived in court this morning for a probation violation hearing -- a legal bout that was apparently never even supposed to take place.

After facing Judge Stephanie Sautner, in what looked like could have resulted in jail time for Lohan, it was ruled that the starlet would get off scot free -- but only on a technicality. Before being placed under house arrest, Lohan was ordered to adhere to controlled substance testing, not alcohol testing. On top of that, Lohan's substance testing was only supposed to take place between February 3 and February 25.

But the judge did rule that Lohan is only permitted one friend to visit her Venice, California home at a time. She is also forbidden from hosting any parties. According to Sautner, the only thing Lohan is guilty of is "extremely poor judgement," according to TMZ.

Lohan's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, was all smiles after the court appearance telling reporters, "I feel like you guys are disappointed ... [Lohan's] done nothing wrong. She's done everything right. So let's give her credit for that."

The forthcoming 'Gotti: Three Generations' star was tested twice last week for drugs and alcohol (tests that have now been deemed superfluous) while serving her sentence under house arrest, when she tested positive for alcohol, setting off a media firestorm. She is currently serving a four month house arrest sentence for stealing a necklace from a Venice, California jewelry store -- a sentence that is supposed to culminate next week, on June 29.

Lohan also seemed to be in high spirits following her hearing: "Thank you to all my fans for your support. Sending you Love and Light. xo," she tweeted.

But other stars are less than thrilled with Lohan's lack of punishment: "What has happened to the justice system in the sate of California seem like all you have to be is famous & they let you get away w/ murder," Kelly Osbourne tweeted.

So what's one thing that Lohan did get out of her unnecessary court appearance? She finally nailed appropriate court attire. The troubled actress arrived at the LAX Airport Courthouse sporting black trousers, a button down shirt, aviators and a high ponytail -- a far cry from her previously revealing court get-ups.

I am willing to bet there is no over crowding in jails in Montana or North Dakota. Send her sorry rear end there for 180 days..no reduced time. Clearly rehab and slaps on her hand are not working

Wonder if momma and daddy will be there to plead for mercy for Lindsay. She needs to be in jail and for more than a few hours, months and months would be nice.

If mommy and daddy had half a brain in their head they would get legal custody of her and have her in a facility for about a year away from friends, phones,hollyweird, tweets, and booze/drugs.Sadly they are part of her problem but we can not forget Lindsay is an adult and must be held accountable regardless of her enablers. She has serious mental health issues that rehab alone will not help. Of course this is after she serves her jail term which anyone else would have to.

When is the court system going to get tired of playing with her. She has demonstrated she has no repsect for the law. Now put her in jail and be done with it.

My thinking would be to drop her off on a unihibited island with food and water. Pick her up in a few months. Keep a cam recorder high in a tree to montior her and to keep her party friends away. If she can't behave then. Guess jail is the only answer. Like one person said on here. Find a state where the jails are not over crowded.

Sorry I say put her in jail it is apparent that nothing has worked . Let her be inside with all the others of her sort, maybe that would be the best lesson she can learn. Let her try the tough life, with no special treatment, right in with the other inmates. They will straighten her out quickly. Trying to help her does not seem to be doing a thing for her, just thumbs her nose at the courts.

We all know anyone else, would have been in jail all of this time. Being Lindsay, she will get another slap on the wrist, then back home for her punishment.
Two sets of laws is as unfair as it can gets, yet it keeps happening.

This f'n lowlife gets away with murder because she's a celebrity when if this were you or I, the sentence by now would probably be a few years in prison, rather than jail. If the public does not revolt, then she will continue to have the judicial system wrapped around her snobby little finger. The sad thing is she continues to get work despite her behaviour and is scheduled to be in a movie about John Gotti. Life is really fair!!!!

If this was a male, she would have already been thrown in jail. The judge needs to lock her up for 6 months or longer. She will "dry up" alright. So sick of this white trash, spoiled brat. Through her butt in jail.

This is so annoying. Lindsay is hopeless and the judicial system is going round and round wasting everyone's time. Just get it over with and give her a sentence she CAN'T get out of. If your jail is overcrowded then release someone else but let Lindsay learn her lesson and STOP giving her yet another "15 minutes of fame".

Maybe the max sentence for the DUI now is in order, a 6 month minimum, I think,,, in jail for 6 months.
She has been given every chance, like it or not, it is time for shock therapy,,, 6 months in county, and if her county doesnt have room, we have room here at Sheriff Joe's Tent City. Wouldn't that be great? Linds in Tent City! Sleep outdoors, oh, and we have female chain gangs too... maybe a little manual labor would be good for her?

California should stop wasting tax dollars on this low life. She gets a slap on the wrist when anyone average joe would be in jail for the last crap she pulled plus put right in for probation violation. She's a nobody and should be treated as one.

Throw her in jail for her crimes, they keep letting her out with her stupid anklets and drug monitoring devices, put her in jail for the full term then let her out, if she drinks and parties and kills someone then she can go to jail for life! She is like 25 years old, do you think she is not going to drink!!!!

The reason she is not sober, is because she has been in cushy Hollywood rehabs!!! She needs a real rehab, like real people enter. She also needs to be ther 3 to 6 months with sufficient aftercare!!
