Lindsay Lohan: 'I'm Responsible and Following the Rules'

Lindsay Lohan dodged another bullet yesterday and avoided additional jail time due to a positive alcohol test, and now she wants everyone to know she's serious about her recovery. Though a judge ruled that there are no alcohol restrictions during her house arrest, the troubled actress still insists she's sober.

According to TMZ, Lohan maintains she's staying away from booze as part of her rehab program and that she only tested positive for alcohol due to her favorite kombucha tea. The fermented drink contains less than 0.05 percent alcohol, but may have caused the positive test results.

"I am responsible, and I'm following the rules and obeying my judge and the Los Angeles judicial system," Lohan told TMZ after the court hearing, adding she just wants to move on with her life after she completes her house arrest sentence next week.

"I'd like to do what I must to get my film career back and the respect of directors, actors, writers, studio heads, fans and so on," she said.

This isn't the first time the kombucha tea has caused problem for the recovering actress. She made headline in March when she was spotted with the tea, and it was reported the "alcoholic" drink was added as an infraction on her probation report.

Judge Stephanie Sautner ruled in favor of Lohan in court yesterday, declaring that the actress only had to submit to drug tests between February 3 and February 25, therefore throwing out claims the positive alcohol test violated her probation.

Sautner put no limitations on Lohan's alcohol consumption, but did scold her for being guilty of "poor judgement" when she threw a party at her home while serving her sentence.

Yes, she broke the law, let her deal with the justice system. End of that story. Everytime I see Lindsay I see the girl from "Parent Trap". I liked her then and I like her today. She lost her way and is fighting for her life. She has been beaten down by something bigger than her. I will take no part in the mob brutality that adds insult to injury. If the Judge gave her special priviledges that is the Judges decision and I don't speculate on why, but in this case, it is not illegal for the Judge to do so.
