Report: 'Jersey Shore' To Be Recast After Season 5

Fans only have two more seasons left to get their fix of of Snooki, JWoWW and The Situation -- at least on 'The Jersey Shore.' According to reports, MTV plans to recast the now infamous reality show after the original crew films one final season in Seaside Heights this summer.

"After this group comes back from Italy and shoots season 5 this summer, that will be the end for them," a source tells Us Weekly.

The insider goes on to cite the cast's high salaries and outside commitments as reasons to move on with a new group -- not to mention the publicity and paparazzi constantly surrounding them. The new cast will be "a lot cheaper," but that the current stars "will leave on a high note."

With each passing season, the 'Jersey Shore' cast holds out for a bigger pay raise, arguing they bring in the big bucks from sponsorship deals and club appearances they can't do while filming for MTV.

The "core group" -- presumably Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Jenni "JWoww" Farley, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and Paul "Pauly D" Delvecchio -- reportedly earned around $100,000 per episode to film Season 4 in Florence, Italy, this spring.

While salary agreements were supposedly hashed out for Season 5, it seems like MTV got frustrated with the cast's high demands and has decided to start over with a new fist-pumping, hair-bumping group for next summer.

We can only imagine what new nicknames and catchphrases we'll see in Season 6.

Who needs a bunch of snotty young people? Why doesn't MTV just drop this stupid show?

Once again greed rears its ugly head. It amazes me that this cast of vapid zeros, who would all be working for Walmart if it wasn't for MTV, would dare to make salary demands, etc. They will quickly fade into obscurity once their run ends.

Seriously, even though these kids are naturally idiots, but MTV is
making a butt load of money off of them, so why shouldn’t they get a
piece of the cash cow that their personalities turned it into be. Why
should MTV make all the money.....? If you had something your boss
needed, and you knew you could get more for your services honestly,
you wouldn't ask for more money, if you say no your not being honest

I'm so happy to hear that the careers of Shnooky and The Constipation are just about over. They have insulted this country enough.

Now if MTV would only cancel the show altogether, instead of choosing another, possibly more retarded cast.

I always wondered what kind of people would watch this show.
Its an insult, to anyone who graduated school.
The boy who likes to be called the situation, his name is Michael, he seems to lack any kind of skills at all.
As far as the girl called Nookie, she wants to stay in show buisness, with no real education at all.
I hope these kids take full advantage of this time to go back to school, they will need it.

Finally!! MTV has gotten smart and is going to ditch these losers. If they were smarter, they would have ditched them the very first time they mad outrageous salary demands.
