Rihanna Slams Report Admitting She Provoked Chris Brown to Hit Her

Singer Rihanna slammed a story by MTV Canada based on a tweet, supposedly written by the singer, regarding Chris Brown and the night he attacked her.

E! Online is reporting that RiRi slammed MTV Canada on a story they ran which quoted a tweet from Rihanna's official Twitter page, allegedly from the singer, where she admitted she provoked Chris Brown on the night he attacked her.

The tweet said, "I admit it. I provoked Chris to hit me. It was not entirely his fault. #ImSORRY"

The 23-year-old-singer took to her Twitter page and gave MTV Canada a piece of her mind, "@mtvnewscanada are u f**king kiddin me?????? You're supposed to be a RELIABLE source for news on music and this is the bulls**t u post??"

MTV Canada later tweeted a retraction to the story saying, ""#Rihanna fans. We were reporting on a story that was posted on several sites today. We had no intention to be salacious."

Brown physically attacked Rihanna in 2009 and later pleaded guilty to assaulting her and publicly apologized for the incident.

He underwent court-ordered domestic violence counseling and spent six months doing community service.

I am glad to see her admit to her part in all this.. I beleive that if you do not want to get hit..then dont hit.. Some of you are saying that no matter what she does he should have just taken it.. I do not agree.. Neither one of them should hit each other PERIOD!!! If a man is beating up on a woman everyone gets crazy... but if a woman is beating up on a man they call him a whimp!! Chris Brown still won't be your friend if you defend him. This is R. Kelly all over again. And I'm so disgusted by people who feel the need to talk about women who beat men in response to an article about a situation where nothing like that even happened.

Funny...I guess it didn't get out about Rhianna's attitude problem. I do not think that anyone should physically or verbally abuse anyone, albeit man on woman or woman on man, but; I pose this: There was a little story not too long after Rhianna and Chris Brown broke up and she started dating someone else. Rhianna and that gentleman also got into an altercation. It did not make much headlines, as the media was continuing on the Rhianna/Chris Brown saga. As one person said in this blog: We are what we are: Humans. We do make mistakes. I do not condone what Chris Brown did, but; he paid his price. Enough already. The problem with our country is that we tend to be extremely judgmental upon people in the spotlight and we forget that they are just like us: Human. No one on this planet is perfect. No one. I wish that people would hold their elected officials to the same standards that they hold these people in show business. If you don't like what either or these two people do, don't purchase their music, don't bother writing about them. In other words: Stop wasting your time giving them your energy. Honestly, they could care more nor less about your opinions.
