Who's Out at 'Housewives'? Alex McCord Responds to New Report

Holy catfight! The 'Real Housewives of New York' reunion special was taped last Wednesday at Capital in NYC and it was full of tears, laughter and betrayal but nothing was as interesting as one Real Housewife talking about the show in the past tense. "Cindy [Barshop] barely spoke at the taping," a cast member tells me, "And when she did talk about her time on the show it was in the past tense. She is definitely not coming back."
Also buzzing around today is a new report by
HollywoodLife that in addition to Cindy, original housewife Alex McCord will
also not be around for a fifth season, but in an
exclusive statement to
PopEater, Alex rebuffs such claims.
"If I had a dollar every time an 'inside source,' i.e. a cast member, leaked a 'story' that I was out of RHONY, I'd be a multi-millionairess!" Alex wrote to me.
A spokesperson for Bravo released a statement, telling me "No decisions have been made regarding next season and everything at this point is rumor."
The tradition of the 'Real Housewives' coming together at the end of each season to tape a reunion show has delivered HUGE ratings for Bravo. So much so that these tapings are often edited into at least two hours of TV and have recently even provided footage for a third.
"They started taping at 9:00 a.m. and didn't finish until well past 7," an insider tells me. "The first few hours where everyone is on message is always thrown away and replaced by the more juicy stuff that occurs later in the day when everyone's getting tired and letting down their guard. This year Ramona and Jill go at it."
After the taping, Ramona tweeted that it had been a wild day and that she "survived the reunion." The next day Alex McCord agreed, tweeting, "Intense day of filming yesterday for Real Housewives of New York." However, Jill Zarin, surprisingly seemed to have a great time, sharing, "OMG what a day," late Wednesday night.
Two Housewives that were noticeably silent were Sonja Morgan, who is battling an ugly bankruptcy case, and the newest housewife member Cindy Barshop.
"Sonja's struggles with her divorce and financial situation are just too delicious for Bravo to not invite her back," one insider tells me. "But it looks like Cindy already knows her Real Housewife days are over."

Countess Luann makes me nauseous! She lectures about manners and etiquette, yet she is the first to start trouble. Jill is only acting civilized because she got such a bad rep last season. I don't think either "Lady" is a good role model or person.

Cindy is probably the smartest one there and the most normal.....that is why she probably will not return. In my opinion get rid of that ex-countess.....LuAnn is mean, arrogant and just wrong on every level.

Jill claimed she changed this season but really didn't and continues to blame Ramona for her mess up with Bethanny; who was greatly missed this season. Cindy came off as what did she get herself into and it showed. LuAnn thinks she went from Countless to Dutchess and we're tired of her. Alex need to learn how to confront, argue/fight; she fumbles in her aproach. Kelly is still on her own island poor thing. Ramona will be Ramona and Sonja she'll get through it. There needs to be something new for the next season; they're messing the spice Bethenny brought to the franchise.

I like the Countess. She is the same person today that she was when the show started. At least for reality folks she is being herself. I also like the music to the Countess's new song.
On the other hand, Alex is so fake this season. All the needless confrontations are a bore. It's clear that she is socailly challenged and not truly buds with any of the housewives. Even when she's with Ramona and Sonja you can tell that the event is for Bravo not friends hanging out It's time for a new ackwardly socially challenged housewife to join the cast and to push Simon out. Alex may leave when asked but Simon won't. Bless him!

Time for a fresh start with new people leading interesting lives. Watching ugly, stupid ledgends in their own minds has gotten old.

I love Alex and Simon! They are both so real, kind hearted, down to earth. The Countess and Jill are so obnoxious! Kelley is a nut and I don't mean that in a fun way. Cindy is full of herself and I hope she is gone next season. I love Ramona, Sonja and Alex, the 3 blondes.

I think all these ladies (not) need to go. Find a new cast. Everyone of these women are just boring now.
