Linda Hogan Feared Hulk Would Kill Her (Video)

Apparently, Hogan doesn't know best.

Linda Hogan, who was married to Hulk Hogan for almost 25 years, talked to Matt Lauer on the 'Today Show' Tuesday and revealed, once again, that she often feared for her life around her ex-husband.

Hogan is promoting her new book, 'Wrestling the Hulk: My Life Against the Ropes,' and in it writes that Hulk "tore my shirt. He threw lamps. He held me down on the bed with his hands around my throat during arguments, slamming doors, pounding walls. I was always afraid he would kill me in one of his rages."

"He did not feel remorse," Hogan told Lauer. "And to this day he hasn't apologized for any of his actions."

She never contacted the authorities about Hulk's violent behavior, saying, "I was quiet. I was afraid to say anything. Had I said something, the carpet would have been pulled out from underneath his career. ... It's scary. You don't know how far they will go."

Hogan said the turning point was when she found out Hulk had an affair 10 years into their marriage, and added that drugs probably factored into his behavior.

"The drugs were always around," she said, adding there was a "constant flow of pain pills."

Though she always knew she would one day come clean about the abuse, she claims now is the best time.

"I didn't want to add fuel to the fire," she said, referring to her very public divorce from the wrestler in 2007. "There are a lot of women out there in the world that are going through the same thing that I went to. if they can learn something from what I wrote, I hope I can help people."

However, according to TMZ, Hulk is firing back at his ex. He called into the 'Bubba the Love Sponge Show" today, referring to Linda's remarks as "delusional" and her her abuse accusation "a cold, blatant lie."

According to Hulk, Linda is just trying to exploit him and his name, saying, "Just take her and put her in the same category with the Iron Sheik and the Ultimate Warrior. They all belong together."

What if, hypothetically, what if....she were abused?
What if, she did fear for her life?
What if, she was afraid of the ramifications?
What if, you weren't so ready to call names like "this old hag", and give pause to the possibility.
What if, you were as interested in the well being of others, and less interested in your fantasy hero?
Of course these are just question.....hypothetically..........

Yes. You were all there and YOU know the truth! Why, how nice for all of you. I believe that Hulk had the ability to be abusive even though I like Hulk. Until you are party to the actual events of anyone's life it is best to state your piece but be polite. You can be wrong in your judgements just like you might be right.

Nobody really knows what happens behind others closed doors, but I used to watch their reality show and it never appeared that they had demons like that in their closets. Is she really trying to claim that they were such great actors that they appeared to be a great family?

I am not saying that they didn't have their fair shake of problems, but really this whole thing smells like Linda's mid-life crisis. She left her marriage to date a boy half her age, and now she is clearly seeking attention and fame by blasting this BS to any sucker who will listen. Sad.

OK it is he said, she said, however......
Why was he always the one made fun of and humiliated by the rest of the family in the reality show with her prompting the kids?
Why did he listen to her nagging and shell out millions for the two spoiled brats' non-careers of racing and singing and her new mansion in Miami?
(which, BTW, forced him back into wrestling even though she claimed his health was not good enough and insist she never wanted him to wrestle again)
Why was she the one always cussing and blowing up in public while he was quietly saying calm down?
Remember the "too many pets" debacle and neighbors dragging them to court? She cussed, ranted and practically attacked her neighbors.

As soon as she got the expensive new house built and he signed the new contract (and had big money again) she kicked him to the curb. Or was all of that part of the script? LOL

Wow, everyone discredits what she says as if they know. Just cuz things appear okay on the outside, don't mean that the abuse didn't occur. What would she gain by lying? And quit calling her a Cougar, when he hooked up with his daughter's friend!

I believe without a doubt Hulk was abusive but she's another rich woman who got dumped after spending 20 years in an abusive marriage for the benefits of the money and good life. It's hard to feel anything for her. She was done when he was done and there was no turning back.

Personally I dont care what the issues are with this family are. She is a old botox-filled hag looking for more money and fame, period.

She was abused, look at the hair and face. No rich woman in her right mind would walk around looking a mess like that.

I think she took Hulk to the cleaners. She has just as much dirty laundry as Hulk and now she wants to make him out as the bad guy. I am sure he could of some things different, but she could of too. Now she is trying to paint him as a O.J. Simpson 2, how pathetic is that. I don't recall Hulk killing or trying to kill anyone. Anyone can say it, but that doesn't make it true, i think she is just trying to play games to get back at him for her unhappiness. She needs to just shut up and go away!
