Denise Richards Adopts Baby Girl

Denise Richards is adding another little girl to the bunch! The 40-year-old actress just adopted a baby girl domestically, her rep confirmed to PEOPLE on Wednesday.

"Eloise Joni Richards is named after Denise's mom (Joni), and Denise and her daughters Sami and Lola chose the name Eloise," the rep said. "Denise and Eloise's big sisters couldn't be happier and feel incredibly blessed."

Richards has two girls from her marriage to Hollywood bad boy, Charlie Sheen: Lola, 6, and Sam, 7.

Richards recently revealed she's writing a memoir. "I get into the good stuff about my marriage, because people have only read the rotten stuff," she said, referring to her marriage to Sheen. "So, you know, there was a beautiful love story between he and I and then it went the way it went."

"Pothead's" other kids with Brooke are the 2 boys. Denise only had 2 girls with Charlie, no boys.

Wow, so there are absolutely no standards for adopting anymore? You can just ask for a kid and get one handed to you-no requirements?? What kind of home life is this child going to have? The 2 girls who are already THERE never smile or laugh.

Presumably, the only way to stay relavent in Hollywood is to adopt some unsuspecting child. If you get your name in the tabloids your Agent might remember you and book you for some lame reality program. Way to stay relavent, Denise.

I live a few streets away from Denise and see her and her girls all the time either walking the dogs or riding bikes with them and they look very happy,and are all smiles.Im sure her girls dont like the flashing cameras and being chased down most kids would'nt either. Bless her heart for opening up her home to a needy baby girl.How many of you out there who are so quick to criticize Denise would be willing to share your love with a child in need?

I can't stand these celebrities who adopt a child just to fill their own selfish needs. She has a hole in her life so now she is using an innocent child to try to fulfill it. She won't even spend much time with her because she is always out and about and wanting to be seen to keep her career going.

Please tell, how does a new child bring joy to older siblings???? Much less time will be devoted to the older children, Lola and Sam. Want joy and happiness then get a dog. How does Denise plan to support the new child? I guess Charlie's child support will be divided for three kids now as I do not think that Denise is working or bringing in any money. I would think that two kids as a single mom would fill anyone's day and why she wants a third is beyond me.

I find this very disheartening...my daughter would love to be able to adopt a child..but because she is a single woman they will only let her adopt a special needs child or a baby 4 years and up...what's with that????

For the life of me, I simply cannot understand HOW and WHY these celebrities are able to adopt infants so easily, when good, hard-working men and women praying for the opportunity to adopt a baby are told no. Or worse, told that the only children available for them are the older children, the handicapped children, etc. Some day I would dearly love to see a "celebrity" adopt an older child or a handicapped child...and not a child from somewhere in Africa or Asia, just so they can look "generous".
