Emily Maynard and Brad Womack Are Officially Over

For months we've been asking 'are they or aren't they?' but now Emily Maynard is finally speaking out about her failed small screen romance with 'The Bachelor,' Brad Womack. After giving single gals across the nation the teary-eyed, down on one knee finale they needed last March on the season finale of the reality show, Maynard and Womack couldn't keep the spark alive once the cameras stopped rolling.
"We're no long engaged," Maynard told
People.
Maynard's blunt confession to her single status comes after battling paparazzi and tabloid rumors that she and Womack weren't living happily ever after once the director called cut. Now the 25-year-old blonde beauty is airing out her failed TV relationship in an attempt to end "all the media speculation" and "move on and get back to normal."
The media spotlight on Maynard's love life has made it especially difficult to protect her six-year-old daughter, Ricki -- who was less than thrilled to meet Womack during Maynard's 'Bachelor' hometown visit date.
And while Maynard has not blamed Womack for the dissolution of their relationship, he is taking complete responsibility for the couple's downfall.
"The demise of our relationship was completely my fault," the 38-year-old told People.
But Maynard insists that neither party was totally responsible for their break-up and the pair still has a great amount of love and respect for one another.
"Just because we love each other doesn't mean we're right for each other," she cooly said.
So does Maynard's no hard feelings stance on the relationship mean that she's over the heartbreak and may even be taking the reins as 'The Bachelorette'? We'll find out when she sits down with the show's Chris Harrison on July 11.

Seriously there haven't been many successful matches on The Bachelor - is it really worth all the hype that goes with it?? It is hard enough to maintain a successful relationship in the "real world" let alone one that includes fantasy suites, exotic locations, and diamonds that could a small third country.

Emily was never leaving NC and the Hendrick fortune, since her
daughter is their grandchild...she is not that dumb. She will find a NASCAR car and stay there..for sure.
He has a bad temper, which we saw at various times, so she is not missing out on anything. I have read enough about both of them. Let's move on.

This is no less than the 3rd story this webiste has run with the same exact headline. I don't care if they are together or not, but I am so tired of websites/magazines writing whatever they want whether it's true or not.

Poor Brad, I thought he had found true love forever. And Emily, she seems like a great girl also. I am sure they are both heartbroken.

CAn't believe you are really concerned about these douchebags--you must be as pathetic as they are
OMG, What rock do you live under ?!... Grow a brain, just sayin'...
Hey, like my handle says..I'm an old guy-- a whole lot older than Brad 38...but hell, why would that pretty 25 year old want an 'old' 38 like him to begin with???? I think it's more than a tiny bit strange that a reasonably good lookin fella with a job (successful bar or bars in Austin?) is that old and still a bachelor???? Makes one wonder about the true story down under.

I am dumbfounded that there are people out there who think this show is real. It's like all the folks in the '70s and '80s who swore up and down pro wrestling was real. It is unbelievable that people watch this tripe.

Too bad they broke up on good terms. I was SO looking forward to the months of endless drama between the two that would some how be considered "Breaking News" by magazines... not...
In the end, I wish them both the best. May I suggest not finding "love" on a reality TV show with a reputation for bad break ups the next time?

They gave Brad 2 chances to be the Bachelor. First time he didnt pick either of the beautiful girls. Second time he just down right picked the wrong one. Ashley the new Bachelorette, I dont think would have made it for him either. But the one he dumped at the rose ceremony would have been the real true love and bet they would still be together. Brad, you blew it twice. Emily was never going to move, what were you thinking? Too much publicity??? What did you expect from national TV?? If she agreed to be the next Bachelorette, then she wants publicity then she will get it. I think they should screen these people better before they put them on the show.

She's still probably not over losing Ricky in that tragic plane crash.

I liked Emily at first, but soon began doubting her sincerity. She was the wrong choice for Brad. I have no sympathy for her as I believe she used Brad. She should never ever be the Bachelorette. Bachelorette needs some "fresh" faces instead of "leftovers." Same goes for Bachelor. There is no need to "recycle."

There are too many "Reality shows"....that are just FAKE. Look at all the people who became RICH AND FAMOUS for doing NOT MUCH OF ANYTHING...but acting like idiots...when most people in our country are struggling just to make ends meet. The only way to get rid of those kinds of shows..is...."DON;t watch them and maybe the will "Go away".

Brad tried harder this time around but wasn't reality based. I agree with the person that said Emily is a fake blonde bimbo and her kid is an over-indulged brat. Did he really think she was going to leave the family fortune for him?? For most of the show Emily kept saying how reluctant she was to introduce him to her daughter at all. That should have been his first clue!
Even though Brad acted immaturely I think he dodged a bullet there and will be better off without the bimbo!

What a depressing bunch youall are. Does anyone believe in Love anymore ? And not just falling into bed with someone you just met because "it FEELS good ". Yes these programs are proably scripted , but for some of us it's still nice to believe in love. Sex is for married couples in love - 1 man & 1 woman.
