Emily Maynard and Brad Womack Are Officially Over

For months we've been asking 'are they or aren't they?' but now Emily Maynard is finally speaking out about her failed small screen romance with 'The Bachelor,' Brad Womack. After giving single gals across the nation the teary-eyed, down on one knee finale they needed last March on the season finale of the reality show, Maynard and Womack couldn't keep the spark alive once the cameras stopped rolling.
"We're no long engaged," Maynard told
People.
Maynard's blunt confession to her single status comes after battling paparazzi and tabloid rumors that she and Womack weren't living happily ever after once the director called cut. Now the 25-year-old blonde beauty is airing out her failed TV relationship in an attempt to end "all the media speculation" and "move on and get back to normal."
The media spotlight on Maynard's love life has made it especially difficult to protect her six-year-old daughter, Ricki -- who was less than thrilled to meet Womack during Maynard's 'Bachelor' hometown visit date.
And while Maynard has not blamed Womack for the dissolution of their relationship, he is taking complete responsibility for the couple's downfall.
"The demise of our relationship was completely my fault," the 38-year-old told People.
But Maynard insists that neither party was totally responsible for their break-up and the pair still has a great amount of love and respect for one another.
"Just because we love each other doesn't mean we're right for each other," she cooly said.
So does Maynard's no hard feelings stance on the relationship mean that she's over the heartbreak and may even be taking the reins as 'The Bachelorette'? We'll find out when she sits down with the show's Chris Harrison on July 11.

I watch it for the phycological study of the thing.
Let's take stock: 26 people, one male/female and 25 females/males, most of whom are better than average looking, all single and available supposedly, looking for a long term relationship in the public eye, with a deep pocket funding seemingly limitless good times, dating multiple partners with kissing, meaningless nothings being whispered every other minute, and then to top it off, the last three and the lone supbject engaging in sexual relationtions a day or days before one will pledge unending love for the other.
Ok, how many successful unions have been achieved with the process over what? 12 seasons? ONE, or two if you want to count Jason and Molly who weren't the final couple at the end of the show. Ok, three if you want to count Ali and Roberto who aren't married yet.
I dunno, maybe it's just me, but I think I'd stick with the old fashion way. This show violates so many standards for the formation of successful relationships I've lost count.

Please BRAD GO AWAY FOREVER AND EVER. Your 15 mins of fame should have ended the first time around. Oh please do not show up again someplace else.

Not ALL couples who have been on this show have broken up, some have worked though it is a very very select few that have.
But anyway, I never liked this show anyway so meh, I don't care, I find it pathetic if you have to go on a T.V show for a date, if they are that hopeless in love then no wonder the couples break up.

this is a joke the show the Bachelor and Bachelorette are jokes everyone knew she did not love him she was so phony and the other girl was truly in love with him. Both shows need to be cancelled they are truly disappointments and fake.

I don't watch this pathetic show, but everytime AOL insists of running a story about this stupid program, it's the same guy in the story. Doesn't he ever graduate? Doesn't he have a day job? Anyone who finds this dribble interesting to watch is pathetic.

just wondering, why did she go on the Bachelor in the first place when she did not want to move, she was not happy about his time spent with the other gals....it was a waste of time for her, him, and the other contestants.

Emily needs to find someone in Charlotte and not go on as the bachelorette. She would never find the right one because he have to be perfect. Her little girl never knew her father so that should not be a problem but I think Emily use that as an excuse.

Honestly, does anyone really watch these "Batchelor/Batchelorette" shows???

Something is wrong w/Womack...he's attitude, actions are weird.
The whole show is boring now; 1st season got everyone's attention. It's done; put a fork in it!!

Duh? It was always apparent that she did not have a chemistry with Brad. As the show progressed, she seemed to get trapped into the "happy ending". He also has a famous temper and perhaps she didn't want her daughter around that. She is in a special place in her hometown. The boyfriend that is now deceased and is the father of her child, was in a high profile racing family and she would have to give that somewhat well known persona if she had married Brad. Sure wish she was the Batchelorette instead of Ashley, just saying.

I am sorry to hear the news about Brad & Emily if it is true. I was hoping these 2 would make it. I am looking forward to seeing her on the July 11 episode of the bachelor. I believe they were truely in love. Just because you are on a tv show does not mean you can't find true love. For you people that don't like these type of shows you should stop watching them. People should not judge them as you do not know the real reason it did not work out. How can you bash them when you don't even know them. I wish them the very best and you never know they may get back together. If not, then it was not meant to be.
